[It's probably a good thing that you live down the road from this scythe user, Neville, because that thing can double as a massive lawnmower in a pinch. However, for the moment he's just going to stand back and watch this little display to see what comes of it.]

[YES PLEASE a scythe would be IDEAL for such an occasion! But Neville hasn't been big on meeting the neighbors and has no idea such convenient folk exist closeby. By now he's given up on stunning something with debatable consciousness and moved on to attempting to float the vines away, giving it something of a windswept look.]

[Earthlings really are pathetic sometimes. But at the same time, he has a vague recollection that this is one of the dragon brat's companions, and thus Draco would likely complain if he were to be devoured by a ravenous plant. He'll just be strolling on over now, laser scythe held ready to strike in one hand.]

You remind me that i really do need to make time to actually *play* the copy of SO4 I bought. XD

["Companion" is a strong word. The ravenous plant in question is partly to be used for defense against Draco's presence, should there come a time it isn't a complete deathtrap. But for right now, he isn't actively seeking the help of others, though a bit of it has gotten itself wrapped his wand and engaging in something of a tug of war at the moment. Minor setbacks, really.]

[This entire thing is just getting more and more ridiculous by the moment. As much fun as it is for him to watch this little struggle, the sooner he can get this over with, the sooner he can leave. Lifting his scythe above his head, he issues a single command to the boy:]

[In a possibly life-threatening situation, obeying a command like that would imply spontaneous trust or suicidal stupidity. Though Neville stops resisting, he's aware of how costly his choice could be, to have faith. His attention focuses on the scythe, half-expecting the man to bring it down upon his head.]

[Now now, Neville, are you implying that a hulking, battle-scarred man like Arumat could possibly be untrustworthy? It certainly wouldn't be the first time someone got that impression of him, that much is for sure. But he has no interest in using the scythe on anything but the plants; he'll bring it down in a swift arc, intending to sever the tendrils that are twining around Neville's arms.]

The plot's pretty intense, too. :O

I'm trying to recreate something from home. It's still a work in progress, though. [It's much shorter now after having its tendrils cut off, but still more active and agitated than a potted plant really has any right to be.]
