le divorce is officially official, as of about eight-forty-five tuesday morning. going before the judge was relatively painless, though i'd be just as happy never to go to court again. the clerk in the courthouse who stamped the forms for me wished me luck, which i found odd & mildly awkward. like...thanks. you probably should've wished me luck when i tripped my crazy ass in to get the marriage license.
if anyone has been waiting on pins & needles for me to be eligible again so that they could sweep me off my feet, your opportunity has arisen. i'm going to say once, & only once, that i'm now a divorcee. from here on out, i plan to refer to myself as 'single'...because 'divorcee' is a depressing word, mais non?
speaking of french, i guess i didn't realize how often i talked to chris until he left, because there's now this huge, gaping, chris-shaped hole in my life. it's pretty sad. but. c'est la vie. we all have to do our own things.
