Rosco was sitting there rather innocently, certainly not planning to attack any passersby. Nope, not at all. He would never do something so evil and malicious.
And, naturally, Alphonse's kitten senses were tingling. Or something to that effect.
He blinked up when he saw the little thing not far, smiling brightly before making his way over to it. He knelt down, offering his hand carefully; he didn't want to scare it away.
Alphonse grinned at that, and shifted, scratching behind the cat's ears, looking obviously pleased. It was nice to be able to properly pet that cat...
And, luckily for Rosco, though Alphonse himself hadn't the slightest clue about his intentions, adoption would be a thought easy to come across the teen's mind.
He pouted slightly at the response - did that mew sound lonely?
...though that was obviously a good enough sign that the kitten would need a new owner, after all. When he smiled again it was a bit more sadly, but he kept petting the little cat in front of him, enjoying the sweet purring sound.
At the question, he started rubbing harder against the hand. He really needed a new house with new furniture to shred; Russel was getting on his nerves with all his rules and glaring and all the times he'd decided to ground the poor kitten.
Alphonse brightened considerably at that - he most certainly took that as a positive answer, and was glad to hear. "Okay then!" he pet the kitten a little more, scooping him up into his arms, and hugging him carefully.
Rosco snuggled against Al, then licked his chin. He remembered distantly his days as a member of the Itty Bitty Kitty Committee, and thought that perhaps it had been Al who'd given him to Fletcher in the first place, but this seemed to be a different Al.
