Ryo is a busy man. Jin is well aware of that fact. They rarely go out nowadays because somehow Ryo's schedule is always filled up and Jin is supposed to be promoting KAT-TUN's new album. Jin attempts to catch Ryo during his free time--those rare, rare times--but not always suceeding. So when opportunity presents itself in the form of a three hour break, Jin pounces on it immediately.
"Why should I spend my three hours with you?"
And that was when Jin asked himself why he wanted to spend time with Ryo badly.
"Because I'm a lot of fun,"
"Actually, you're not all that fun."
"See, that's where you're wrong. I can be a lot of fun. In fact, I'm the fun-nest person you know."
"Jin, that's not even a word and you're too presumptuous."
"...What's that?"
Ryo gave Jin a look that said he was some kind of idiot and that Ryo wasn't going to spend his three hours with him. Jin ignores this and went on about how Ryo should go with him--all involving reasons which only make sense when they reach Jin's ears. Ryo finally agreed, if only to shut Jin up.
Jin drives for them.
They first went to a movie theater. Ryo thought that maybe a movie wasn't so bad since that way, he can scold Jin for talking too much or being an idiot, generally. It turns out that they were going to the small arcade right beside the theater.
While Ryo looked at it with disbelief, Jin had a bright smile on his face that might as well give away their disguises, even with the hat and sunglasses. They didn't get second glances from the people though and Ryo was relieved. The last thing he wanted was a group of fangirls (and maybe boys too) mobbing them.
"You're taking me to the arcade?"
"Obviously. Quite slow today, aren't you?" Jin grinned, enjoying the chance to taunt Ryo for a change.
"What, how old are you?"
"Twenty-three." Jin replied. Ryo rolled his eyes. "Oh come on, it'll be fun, you know it!"
"I can't believe I actually went with you," the Osakan muttered under his breath.
"Did you say something, Ryo-chan?"
"Nothing, Jin-chan. I said nothing."
The next hour was spent on buying dozens of tokens and playing really retarded--according to Ryo--games. Jin attempted to catch a stuffed toy for Ryo ("Wow, that's really gay of you to offer.") but failed horribly. Ryo tried out the soccer game but he lost and Jin had to show him how to beat the game. They spent a lot of money on the put-all-your-coins-here-to-make-the-othe
r-coins-fall-down (the very witty name given by Jin) but they end up with nothing. Ryo kicked the machine and called it stupid, but still nothing happened.
The two hid inside a photo booth when an employee headed in their general direction.
They agreed to take a picture since they're already there. Jin kept making kissy faces at Ryo, which Ryo just laughed at. The pictures they got showed the both of them making faces that betrayed their real age. After the picture, Jin finally brought up the topic of food.
"I am in the mood for steak."
"Steak? Why steak? Aren't you in the mood for ramen?"
"I am not in the mood for ramen."
"Ramen will make you taller."
"You are lying through your teeth, Akanishi."
Jin brings Ryo to what he called his favorite ramen place. Ryo scoffed and said that he wanted steak. Jin ignored him and ordered for the both of them. The elderly man managing the store smiled warmly at them. Ryo smiled back tentatively.
"Who else but you can plan something like this," Ryo glanced at Jin, who was fussing over his ramen.
"Well, it's an awesome date, isn't it?"
"Date is such a strong word."
"But an appropriate one."
"It's not appropriate at all!"
"If you say so, Ryo-chan."
...
"Hey Jin, don't you think it's about time you start dieting?"
