Fandom/Pairing: JE/JunJin
Rating: PG
Notes: there needs to be more jun/jin. )): uhm. i realize my fic may come off as weird because jun and jin actually seem to like each other *gasp!!* but i am getting tired of the same old, same old i-hate-your-guts-let's-have-hot-make-out-sessions-in-the-empty-closet plots. so here. :) no beta, not mine.
also let's pretend kat-tun and arashi share the same building. uhm. it is fiction after all...? :D

Today, Jun found a beanie in his bag. He wasn't a person in favor of hats, and he honestly had no recollections of buying such a hat in the first place. Logically, the next question Jun asked himself was, who owned it?
It wasn't Jun. Though that was established, he still thought that the hat was hideous. He concluded that maybe a staff member--he knows for sure no one in Arashi owned such a thing--left it somewhere near his bag and he placed it in by mistake. Jun left the hat beside his bag, open for all to see, before catching up with Arashi as they went to run over their steps for their performance.
--
Jin couldn't find his favorite hat. Well, it wasn't his most favorite, but a friend bought it for him and he'd come to like the hat as a part of his daily get-up. His mind was set on wearing it to today's recording session, but somehow, he couldn't find it.
"Hey," Jin greeted, holding his cellphone with one hand and searching for his hat with the other. "Did I leave my hat at your place or something? It's a beige beanie and I can't find it in my--oh. Are you sure?"
Not under the bed. Not behind the drawers. Not in his closet. Where could it be?
"Yeah. If you find it though, call me. Thanks."
Jin frowned and dialed another number, before resuming his search.
--
"Is this yours?" Nino held the hat up, and tried it on.
"It looks good on you," Aiba agreed, before launching himself at the couch.
"No, it's not mine." Maybe Jun felt slightly uneasy that no one took the hat. He was running out of people to pin the hat's ownership on. "I don't really know whose it is."
"Have you asked the staff?" from the other end of the room, Sho asked. Jun grabbed a cup of water and replied no, not yet. "It's not yours, isn't it, Aiba-kun?"
"No," Aiba replied off-handedly, as he now had his manga open before him.
"Nino, take it off, you look like a dwarf," Jun grumbled and emptied his cup.
--
"What's gotten our dear Akanishi-kun so moody?"
Ueda glanced up from his lyrics to see Koki peering at him. He honestly had no idea what got up Jin's ass this morning either. But he doesn't really care about it. Koki, on the other hand, showed much interest.
"He couldn't find his hat," Kame told Koki.
"What hat?"
"The stupid looking one,"
"But wasn't he wearing it the other day?" Junno joined in, though nobody really answered him.
"I really hate that hat." Ueda blurted.
"Yeah, I'm kind of glad it's gone..."
"But Jin loves it," the youngest pointed out.
"Maybe he left it somewhere again," Junno bounced a bit as he said so.
"It isn't unlikely considering this is Jin we're talking about."
The four scattered and cut their conversation short when Jin and Nakamaru went back to the studio. The rest of the recording session was tense because it seemed like after every song, Jin's mood got sour and then he cheered up as a new one started. The rest of KAT-TUN got worried. After all, it's been only quite some months since they were asked to record songs together again, and they weren't ready to let go of that yet.
--
"Maybe you left it at a friend's?" Nakamaru suggested. The session ended a bit awkwardly, but at least Jin didn't do effective damage to start breaking up their recording sessions again. Jin shrugged and walked on.
"Maybe at the jimusho?"
"I don't think so," Jin replied to Junno's question. The six were now heading out of the building, and were making their way to the elevator. The five went in, but Kame was yet again delayed. Koki was forced by the other members to wait on him.
When Kame did arrive, behind him were familiar faces.
"Ah Arashi-san," Junno bowed in greeting and the rest of KAT-TUN echoed the gesture. The elevator with the twelve-person-limit seemed less cramped than it should, even with the amount of people already in it, so all five Arashi members when in. They all exchanged pleasant, idle chit-chat as the elevator descended. When they were five floors away from their destination, Nino grinned and grabbed the hat from Jun's bag. He then attempted to put it on again.
"Honestly, Nino, it does not look--"
"Ah, my hat!"
Sho, Nino, Koki and Kame had their eyes on Jin, while Aiba, Ohno, Ueda, Junno and Nakamaru had theirs on Jun. Jun's and Jin's eyes met sometime after all that staring.
"This is yours, Akanishi-kun?" Nino asked slowly.
"Yes."
"Are you sure?" Aiba insisted.
"Y-yes." Jin replied, making an attempt to grab the hat but Nino hid it behind his back. The elevator made a sound and the doors opened.
"Matsujun has it, get it from him," Nino told him cheerily. The quite unlikely group ambled out, still awkward over Jin's outburst of ownership.
Jun glared at Nino, who just thrusted the hat on his palms, and then went to engage Junno in exciting otaku talk. Sho was talking to Nakamaru about their schedules and Ohno and Ueda went on ahead, silently. Koki and Aiba went off and Kame was asked to join them. They left for various places until all that was left were Jun and Jin, still in front of the elevator.
"I was looking for it," Jin said lamely, lightly raising his arm to refer to his hat.
"I was looking for who owned it." Jun told him. "I don't remember getting it from you though. Did you leave it at my place when--"
"We were getting drunk? I think so. I can't even remember much about that night. I drank too much."
"Well, you got it back, anyway."
"Yeah, thanks for holding on to it." Jin then placed the beanie over his head.
"That hat," Jun began as they started walking to the exit. "It's really ugly."
"I like it," Jin frowned at him, while adjusting said hat.
"No seriously, buy a new one."
"I don't want to. Go buy your own hat." Jin told him. Then Jun chuckled and Jin smiled back.
"Next time you come over, stop leaving random things behind." Jun stopped when they reached the parking lot.
"What makes you think I'm coming back?" the smirk on Jin's face presented a challenge. Jun loved a challenge.
"You like it at my place."
"You keep telling yourself that, Matsumoto-san," Jin waved before heading to his car. Jun shook his head with a smile on a smile before doing the same.
Two days later, Jin came over with the same hideous hat and a bottle of champagne.
