keep feeding me bedroom eyes (and your tender lies)

He'd left.

He'd actually left.

N restrained a choked sob, because he was not going to cry about this--that was just stupid.  But something needed to be done, he needed to be somewhere, somewhere away from people.  He needed to--

--fuck, he didn't even know.  He had no idea what he was doing, everything just seemed to be so confusing, unreal.  He ( Read more... )

great going n, and this is what we call heartbreak

[ Gevanni was just reading a book on his bed, wearing, surprisingly, something other than his usual suit - plain gray sweatpants and a white t-shirt. (he was planning on sleeping, later.)

And then someone was knocking on his door, so he got up, wondering who in the world would come looking for him. Maybe they'd gotten the wrong room...

But when he opens the door, he's surprised to see that it's - N! ]

N?

[ oh, he doesn't look so good... ]

Is something wrong?

He bites at his lip, shrugging. It's... a bit weird to see Gevanni in anything other than his pristine suit, but not unnatural enough to make him actually stop to think about it.

After the question, N shrugs vaguely, before threading a finger in his hair and glancing off. "I came by. To--make sure that you got the bloodstains out of your suit. I feel bad."

[ he's not that naive; he can tell that something's wrong. but he'll just play along until he can figure it out. ]

...I did. They're gone, now.

"That's good, at least."

He sniffles for a moment, wiping his face on his sleeve. "May I come in?"

[ oh, this is worse than he thought. he immediately steps back, allowing N to enter. ]

Of course.

N moves in, and stands in the center of the room for a moment, feeling out of place. He's not quite sure what to feel, really.

"Thank you.

"...I don't think I like this mansion anymore."

Here, you can come sit on the bed, I've got a chair.

[ he brings said chair over from the desk in the corner, waiting for N to come over. ]

I'm sorry about that.

N moves over easily, pleased with the sudden accomadation. He sits on the bed a moment later, dangling his legs off the side with a blank gaze.

"It's quite alright. Did I disturb you?"

No, I wasn't doing anything important.

[ he glances at the book, then back at N. he decides he might as well ask. ]

Did something... Well, what happened?

"...Alright."

At the question, N looks vaguely confused, before he turns to glance over the book as well.

"Oh. Nothing, really." His lower lip wibbled for a moment, but he didn't do anything stupid like cry. "I--I had to move out of my old room."

I see.

[ he probably sounds sympathetic, as he saw that slight wibble, and he can tell that something worse has happened. but he won't bother him any more, if he doesn't want to explain. ]

He wraps his arms around himself, in a gesture of self comfort.*

"...I just don't know what to do--or where to go. It shouldn't effect me this much."

You could - You could stay here, if you want.

[ d'oh. he blurted it out on impulse. he should really watch his tongue... ]

I could set up another bed. It wouldn't be any trouble.

He looks up, genuinely surprised at the offer. He'd come, searching for company, maybe just a familiar face that didn't hate him, nothing more. But now--

"Would I be intruding?"

No, I don't have a roommate or anything. And -

[ he can't believe he's saying this! ]

- It'd be nice to have someone to talk to.

Smiling is the last thing he feels like doing, but for Gevanni's sake, he tries anyway.

"Thank you. I--I appreciate it."
