And yet ... there's an angstwhorish bit of me that thinks maybe Jim does want to snuggle when he's not under the influence of pollen too, and that maybe he'd be kind of hurt that Bones would make fun of him to the other CMOS for something like that. Whatevs. Like I said. I am an angstwhore.)

(Well damn. There's a chapter for this series that I didn't know how to start because Jim needed to start out really angsty and trying to drown his UST heartache in alchohol. But I couldn't get it going because I didn't know what had set him off.

The dogs in my neighborhood would like to register a complaint at the large high-pitched squeal I just let out at the prospect of
OMGBonesReallyDOESThinkI'mAFool!Wibbly!Jim drowning his sorrows and the Damnit Jim list getting yet again longer.

I can so see your Chapel slapping McCoy in the side of the head. Hell, maybe even Cupcake-- because the man's a bit masochistic. What's he gonna roll his eyes at if Jim's all depressed and not leaping into the fray?

Now all I can think about is Jim at a bar being wibbly at the bartender and Sulu going "Hey, I know what would make you feel better!" And Cupcake comm'ing Med-bay "Doc! They jumped off a building, Doc!" And Bones going "God-dammit! Why the hell does he keep doing this?" And Chapel is all *significant look* and Bones going "What?" And Chapel saying "If you don't know, I'm not telling you." And Bones all "That's a cop-out, woman! Tell me what the hell's going on!"

Focus. I don't haz it.

I encourage this flavor of distraction. I'm greedy like that. I cannot be sorry.

I also can only imagine the bartender rolling his eyes because EVERYONE IN THE QUADRANT besides Dr. McCoy already knows how Jim feels. It's just "Damnit, Jim, I'm a doctor, not a man with a clue" Leonard Horatio McCoy who's slow on the uptake.

Also-- focus? What's that? At last count I had fifteen trek fics in various stages.
