ARIEL IS AT COLLEGE! WOAH! FINALLYY!
I am mostly unpacked. I still have two more packages to pick up. My mother claims that they are small, but I really don't know. They never sent me the UPS notice. I'll drag my roommate with me to pick them up tomorrow. I need to decorate my room somehow... because there is like nothing on my walls. Woe. Maybe I should draw pictures on paper and post them up. I would print pictures, but don't want to waste my printer ink. I don't know if I have space for posters, really. Unless they're horizontal or small.
On Saturday (the first night I was here, my other suitemates had moved-in the night before), we stayed up until.. like 2 or 3 randomly chatting (also facilitated by these talking point cards or something, questions to make you think, teen edition). Our RA came in so I could sign something, but ended up almost forgetting about it and hung out with us too. And I've just been hanging out with people (suitemates, some hall mates, some people I met at orientation) these past few days, mixed in with some meetings and such. And shopping (winter clothes (and shoeees!), extra hangers, books, and snacks)!
Classes start Wednesday! Tomorrow I plan to explore campus and figure out where my classes are after a bunch of Bouve (my college within the university) activites. The map in our planner and welcome week booklet are wrong! But I grabbed the correct map today! Yayy!
So... I was going to have dinner with some friends from orientation.. and then they ended up at the wrong dining hall! They told me east but went to west! Not very amusing at the time, but now I'm amused. Also, vegetarianism has great perks. In one of the dining halls, there is a specific area of vegetarian food which is good and also never really has a line. But then we walked around campus (to the library (closed..), gym, and Curry Student Center) and ended up sitting and talking at Curry Student Center for a bit.
I actually feel kinda calm right now. It's nice compared to the "OMG, nervous" feelings of the past couple of days. Everything will fall into place eventually.
