Why the codename?

I have my reasons.

Oh ho? A man with enemies?

Perhaps. Perhaps not.

I also have reasons for not revealing my reasons.

That's a rather strange name to use.

It might be, at that.

Is there anything else you might comment upon, other than my chosen title? Perhaps the name of this place, for a start.

No one else offered that yet? Well, the city seems to be called Discedo. I don't really know much about it other then it's horrible.

You are the second person I received a response from. "Seems to be called"? What makes it seem that way? Also, what about the city has led you to conclude that it is horrible?

It's not likely giving us your real name would make much difference, sir. There are many people from different worlds here--whatever weight your name carries back where you came from has been lifted.

...If you want a safe place to stay, the apartment buildings on Horton, Latimir and Marshall are fairly secure.

I use my alias for more reasons than simple safety.

Are the buildings well-labeled and/or easy for a stranger to locate?

Yes, they should be--if anything, for the increase in people.

There's also a high school that's safe, but you'd have to be sure not to confuse it with the elementary school.

Are there any vacant rooms in the buildings you mentioned? I prefer solitude, if it is possible to obtain here.

What distinguishing features would help me not make that mistake? Or is it also a case of presence of people? Also, I inferred from your wording that it wouldn't be a simple mistake to confuse the buildings: what consequences await the person who does confuse the two?

You're in Discedo and were brought here by a set of scientists ≥ 4.

near_deathexp November 19 2008, 02:58:54 UTC
Why the number 4? I presume that means you are aware of at least four of these scientists; what else can be said of them?

Correct, 1 male + 3 females. They're conducting an experiment; recreating civilization or playing god or some zetta stupid shit. They also implant a microchip in everyone upon arrival, so if you have any supernatural abilities, they're zetta gone 4 now.

You know their genders, how about appearance? If that isn't something you know, how did you discover their genders?

Tell me more about the microchip, if you can. Besides acting to quell our abilities, and I presume act as a tracking device for them, is there any more information about them?

Another pauper?

This is beginning to become tiring.

Please elaborate on what you mean by "this". I presume it's the arrival of new "test subjects". If that's the case, how long have you been here, and how many are currently here? If you don't know the exact numbers, an estimate will suffice.

You presume correctly.

And you do not ask knowledge of a Prince.

Tell me your name.

Reply

near_deathexp November 19 2008, 03:51:44 UTC
I am L.

So, you are prince of this city, or some other place? And if the prince does not share his knowledge with others, then does that not make him responsible for the condition of ignorance in those he might deem less worthy than himself?
