Finally, after four days of waking up in a panic and struggling against his restraints, of craving blood but only being fed juice and eventually some broth, of being tended alternately by Squirrel and Edie, something in Tony's brain shifts a bit.

And that's when he wakes up.

He can see faint daylight around the edges of the heavy curtains, and Edie curled up asleep on the chaise near the bed. His entire body aches, muscles stiff from days of the same position, and he has a pounding headache, but the music is gone, the warring thirds of his personality are gone--all that remains, as the fever lowers a bit, is one personality, unified and calm.

And he wants to get up.
