The Case of the Missing Literature
Done, finally all wrapped up into neat little bow, well it's neither neat nor little but I did get everything done that I wanted to do, and I managed if subtlety to set up a story for next time; I'll have to work on it before Survivor begins so it may never happen but at least the ideas are there that's what's important, now all I have to do is bribe people to read it.
And because I wrote it, an alternate ending:
The walls of the CID office are splattered with blood, papers are strewn everywhere tables overturned and the general prior fracas is evident for all to see. Zillak’s head props open the window and his body is sprawled across the floor holding a small pen-knife. Neal, Barnes, and Thomas stare on open mouthed.
Neal: Oh, my god.
Sec. Barnes: Zillak is dead!
DC Thomas: It’s more than that, he’s been MURDERED!
The camera back tracks out of the office looking on at the scene from behind the three friends, the door of the CID office slowly swings shut, written in Zillak’s own blood are the words:
CASE CLOSED
It was far too explicit, and gave me too little room for maneuver.
I am also back alive in Survivor Wars, hurrah, drama be damned.
Now what do I do now?
