A while back, wendymr asked me what I thought the Doctor would do if Jack and Rose's positions had been reversed in Parting of the Ways.

The answer is, pretty much this.

Be my guest, I still have Chamelion-arched Romana and the Baby!Doctor and the vortex backed up, not to mention the not-abandoned "Martha shoving the Doctor's head underwater" one.

PS - if you get at all to the Doctor's point of view in your story, bear this in mind - he shoved his own granddaughter, Susan, out of the TARDIS. She fell in love, he didn't want her to have to choose... so he chose for her and skedaddled, while she pounded on the door and screamed.

to the point of zombie-like when she runs into First Doctor again.

Not discussing her acting skills

The Doctor has quite a history of either running people out of the TARDIS or running to it to make a quick getaway. "I don't like goodbyes" says Four as he leaves skidmarks, "So I won't say it." *sound of door*VWORP!*
