Spanish inquisition
Had an absolutely horrible day yesterday - compounded by a two hour grilling by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
When the old school that I worked at closed down, I had to arrange for a whole load of things to be removed ie the excess chemicals and the radioactive sources. The chemicals were removed before the school closed but I had to leave the radioactive sources because they needed specialist contracters to take care of them. Except three years later the radioactive sources have disappeared and nobody knows where they are.
As this is a legal matter, the HSE have now got involved and two inspectors came to the work yesterday to interview me, including a specialist one from Edinburgh.
Had a one hour "interview" where they took down everything I said then I had to give a formal written statement about what I said, after the legalities were explained to me.
Someone is going to get hauled over the coals for this - I just hope it isn't me.
