staage

Today rehearsal moves from the rehearsal halls to the actual playhouse stage. So now the dangers of falling into trap doors and pits are real. I'm pretty damn nervous, because yesterday my legs weren't going where they were supposed to be, and I was drifting too far upstage and downstage in bad areas. Oh well.

I am hungry, and I would go to Charbroiler.. er,"fantastic cafe" to get lunch or something, but my clothes are in the washing machine.

Dangit, three quarters of California's citrus crop were lost in this weather. I really like citrus fruits, but I don't wanna pay like 10 bucks per orange.

My grandma gave my mom some marionettes to give to me. I think they're from the '60's, and I know they were made in Japan. There's Santa Claus, a Witch, and a blonde girl. I spent about an hour on each puppet untangling the strings, but once I was finished I just hung them on pushpins I stuck in my wall. I don't know how to use marionettes, but it's the nicest thing I ever remember that grandma ever doing.

I'm transferring 40 bucks into my paypal account so I can buy some reticulated foam so I can build some puppets for myself. Well, one puppet. I'm only buying one sheet of foam. So now I think the only other materials I'm going to need are felt for the inside of the mouth, and stiffened felt for the mouthplate itself. Oh, and stuff for eyes.

I hate taking the bus to work. Hatehatehate it. It's an hour and a half ride with creepy people. Long Beach buses have interesting people, but OCTA buses have creeps.

The battery on my car died, so now I have to worry about brakes and a new battery. Argh.

I really want to move out soon.
