GRE Over

Well, it is a relief that the darn thing is over, but I didn't really improve much. I left 6 blank, and estimating stupid mistakes on at least 10 of the ones I answered/guessed on, that already brings me down to around a low 700. I was trying to improve by 100 points from my 660 before, and I don't think I am anywhere near that.

I can't believe how much I hate this test. Despite knowing how to do every single problem (no new concept appeared), I still make the stupidest mistakes ever. Apparently 32=2^4. The question was testing whether I understood the Fundamental Theorem of Finite Abelian groups, and how to look at the cyclic subgroup structures within. I knew exactly how to do the problem, yet due to it being question 65 out of 66, I factored wrong (nothing to do with the actual concept they were testing) and so got it wrong.

I have come to realize several of these mistakes now that it is over. I have no doubt that if the 2 hour and 50 minute test was 2 hours, an hour break, and then the rest of the 50 minutes (no need to add more time, just time to clear my head) I would have a near perfect score.
