A friend is getting married and Sunday, 1/2 of her projected 6 bridesmaids tried on gowns at David's Bridal Easton. As of now, these are the two styles she'll be choosing between:
The first style is tasteful, but I think too "mature." I like second dress more. I didn't do the whole she-bang up right for my prom (or any other high school dance) and for a moment, it was like I was doing that. So, I want to wear the dress that's more like a ball gown rather than whatever the first is. It's sensible-looking. I want to look a bit more costumed. Fluffy. I'm well aware that it's not my wedding (there will never be a Stephanie's wedding), but it's just the better of the two items. The color she's leaning toward is "oasis"--as close to teal as she can get. Maybe it is teal, but they call it "oasis."
I'm going to get my hair bleached, dyed and get a chignon and brow length, Bettie Page bangs. I'm trying to get a job now so I can do her bridal shower (and maybe her bachelorette party). And I'm going to meet with the hot fitness guy at my counseling agency to see if we can design a plan for me to take up running so that, 8 months from now, I'll be in a size 8/10 dress rather than a 16/18 (if my breasts were smaller, it would be a 16 right now, but they're NOT smaller, so I had to push them into an 18. Totally disproportionate!). It's sad to be my age trying to get it together when I've had so many opportunities, but I just have to try to let go of what I haven't done and the time of which I haven't made the best and move forward. Go me!!!
