¡My first days in España!

Aug 31, 2006 15:11

So I have officially moved to España and these first two days have felt like a week. Lemme tell you a little about my life so far.

The flight to Madrid was smooth, although there was a minor delay. We arrived at Barajas Airport and hopped on a bus to the dorm, which is AWESOME! We each have our own rooms with our own private bathroom and shower. I have FANTASTIC view of the city from my window and I live on a floor with my friends. It is great fun. The dorm food is alright- lots of pan, jamon, papas, etc. It will be an adjustment to eating dinner at 9PM though.

Besides moving in, we´ve had a LOT of meetings on various topics. Today we had a walking tour of our campus. We´re all a bit overwhelmed with all the information and materials that the program coordinators are throwing at us, but I´m sure we´ll be fine once jet lag disappears and we get our barrings on the city. We´re definitely stressing out about finding apartments in such a short amount of time. Oh well. Lots to do. So far, España is wonderful! Everyone on the program is super nice and friendly and we´re having a great time together. I can´t wait until all this orientation stuff is done and life in Spain really begins!

More to come, so stay tuned...
