Her boyfriend smacked her hard!!!!
Last night I went out had a few drinks but not really buzzing or drunk. Me and a buddy went downtown and had to park under I-4. As we were walking on Central we noticed a couple that seemed to be in an intence conversation. It happened pretty quick, but the girl took a swing at the dude...he blocked and smacked her hard. She was stunned and gasped holding her face.
The guy turned and looked at me and my buddy and realized we weren't cool with the situation, grabbed the girls hand and walked briskly away.
Here is the problem i have. Should we have stepped in and seperated the guy and the girl? or got involved in the situation in any way?
The way i look at it, i don't know what was happening that led up to the situation we saw. I really felt bad for the girl because no woman should be violated like that. i was pissed off because no guy should ever put his hand on a girl like that, no exception.
I have seen situations where someone steps in to help only to be arrested for attacking the guy and the girl fileing charges against the person that was trying to help and going back with the abuser.
I wanted to help so bad but i couldn't get over what happened i had alcohol in my system so who know what would have happened. The couple seem as though they had a few drinks in them also. My buddy might have lost his mind and we could have really hurt that dude.
i know the girl was in shock that she had been hit but she went with the dude she didn't pull away or ask for help. Should i have stepped in?
Why do women allow this violence to continue? Why do some women excuse the violence? What should i have done? What would you do in the girls shoes or my shoes?
I usually don't get responces on my blogs so i may never know what the answers are. I love women, but I don't ever understand your chooses in men. WHy the abusive asshole? What do you see in him? What are you trying to prove?
P.S. I often wonder about people and what they would admit to. You don't have to answer if you don't want to, but what percentage of women do you think have been hit by a boyfriend or man? and have you ever been hit by a boyfriend or man? i just want to learn more about what you went through or are going through.
