So I'm watching a Brit show - on dvd - MI5 - season 8 - as near as I can figure MI5 is sort of a domestic spy agency, maybe like the FBI anwering to the Home Secretary, whomever that may be - anyway, it's a spy show set in the UK - (I found it because I discovered Richard Armitage via BBC Robin Hood - he's not Robin - but tall dark and sexy - anyway, one of the recurring characters is allegedly the CIA head agent in London - a beautiful blonde. She's supposed to be from Boston, but has the oddest accent - it disappears a lot. An early comment she made just blew me away - explaining why she chose a particular nom de blog (last name Franklin) she said, "Franklin was always my favorite president." They must teach some bizarre American history in Boston, as there is no American President named Franklin. Founding Father, yes - president, not so much. I can't figure out if that was intentional -- a Brit isn't likely to catch it. Or perhaps a not so subtle indictment of the American educational system. Or just very sloppy writing.
