So, the last update of substance I did was about Origins, was was a full half-year ago, now.
After Origins was my very first One True Party. I flew down to Raleigh-Durham airport Thursday, July 3. I believe taliakit and I had burgers from a Char-Grill, a local throw-back sort of burger-diner. Then it was on to the Vile House. (What does one call the home of vileone and vilejynx?) That night was mostly introducing taliakit to the people I knew, trying to explain various relationships, and meeting people I didn't know.
Much of the chronology of the weekend has blurred with the passage of time. I saw Wall-E, which I would be pleased to see win the Best Picture Oscar, just to be the first animated feature to do so. wyrdone prepared some wonderful, yet minimalist, shrimp that I purchased, and I attempted to replicate his recipe after he left, giving me the impression that vinegar may actually be an important ingredient in shrip preparation. There was a nap with darkfyre_muse. And I convinced Lee Ellen to come visit, marking the first time I'd seen her since deinna and I took a random night trip to Durham some time in 2002-2003. All in all, it was an enjoyable trip.

The Wii, opiate to the geeky masses. Or just me.
To some people, the Wii is instead a stimulant.
(Side note: chick in the background is way hotter than this picture suggests. Just so ya' know.)
Thankfully, he was not allowed to eat the whole thing.
Next year, OTP will be in Ireland. I'm still planning to go; it'd be my first trip out of country.
