EIGHTEEN VISIONS!!
so yeh i went to see eighteen visions last nite!! w00t w00t, and heres the story
alllllll day i was totally hyper with a countdown every hour or so... then met my mate lucy in town an we met up with nick an got the train to wolvo....got there at like 7? so went right in and rushed to the merch stand!! w00t... got myself some funky ass badges...now on my bag and a funky ass tee.... has eighteen visions written down the side an a funky heart thang
so yeh anyways, the first band came on stage about.... 8 i think it was.... they strolled on an started doin their thang.... was thinkin.... hummm not bad... then they introduced themselves as "misery signals"... kool stuff... they did a good set.... but must say they didnt really have too much stage presence!
I was a few rows back from the front and a lil pit started off when they were on.... THE most crazy yet uber friendly pit i ave ever witnessed.... had a few tall dudes fly in our direction and my mate got trod on a few times but it was all good :D
then after a wunder into the bar while we waited for Emauel we got the joy of having mick and kieth walk rite on by us.... cue shreiks from gurls dotted around... a while later James did the same... WHOA is that man moody! he walked straight by, didnt achknowledge anyone an didnt even have a smile on his face :(
so yeh anyways.... next up were emauel so we went to check em out... they came on and i was quite shocked at their age... they looked bout my age! they were.... hum they were ok at what they do but they didnt really get the audience involved... it seemed like they were jsut background music... lol yet still the pit was goin haha.... random
soooo by now its about 9.15 and we stroll back to the bar.... hang around for aaages and they come on stage about quarter 2 10... the place went crazy was great... they all strolled on and james took centre... saying "thank you everyone for coming out to see me tonight" << yes you read that rite.
they opened with obsession and by the end of the song every person was nodding along with their fists in the air...well the folks around where i was standin anyways... then they went straight into "I let go"... amazingly great!! James kept grabbin the mic stand and dangelling it into the audience for the crowd 2 sing... and kieth (funky ass purple hair!!) and mick (just funky!) <3 they outdid themselves for greatness.... mick every now an then comin 2 the front of the stage an pullin the famous pout face or stickin out his tounge... and not forgettin ken of corse... rockin it out walting up and down the stage... then of corse theres the wunder of the trevster.... that dude can PLAY the drums... hehe i was stood there watching him like whoooooa....so wanna be a drummer! lol....
yeh so they played soe old stuff from the vanity album an i THINK one or maybe 2 from earlier... not really sure on that! from obsession i remember tho they played crushed, tower of snakes and they ended on waiting for the heavens... they did the lil...erm...breakdown thang whatever you call it twice... and then they were gone... it was all over in a flash... well the last song... it was like oh is that the end :O... but was wicked
the PIT! as well... whoa... when eighteen visions came on it was mental...but still the most freindliest pit ive ever saw... everyone helpin everyone else up and bein careful not to hurt anyone (unlike at the used where i was on the floor for half a song an no one was helpin me... ended up the bottom end of a "pile on" in the end)
