(no subject)
Have you ever been in a situation (either work, personal, or whatever) where you just felt you were getting shit on? I mean literally shit on . . .Shit flying towards and then clinging on to you as if you were some random toilet in the heart of Downtown Dallas?!?!? Ok, so maybe not literally. . . .but still. . it was pretty bad today.
I've always seemed to be the model employee. Working my ass off day to day, going in every morning 15 to 30 minutes early so when the boss comes in and asks, "Hey have you done this?" You can stop them mid sentence and say "Yes, I did that 20 minutes ago (you know, when you were picking up that Starbucks you didn't offer me? Yeah, that's when)"! I then work strategically through the day to accomplish all goals and solve any problems through out the day. Meaning, I work diligently with taking only a . . .lets say 15 minute lunch to walk my dog. And then yes, that's me sitting there 10, 15, maybe even 30 minutes late to finish those files or take that extra step and do something that may have been someone else's job. I'm a hard ass, good at what I do, believe in the company as it will return everything to you kinda guy. Well . . .Today my new boss comes in (yes the one giving me 4's (the highest you can get) across the board on my annual review), and says "Ummm, Kyle,I was noticing you have been counting 8 hours of work on Sundays, and I know we're only opened 1-5, have you been working 8 hours?" Well of course not you silly bitch! What the hell do you think I would do for an extra 4 hours? Clean up all your messes? Ugh! So of course, I kindly say "No, just 1-5." "OH!" She exclaims, "who told you to do that?" "Josh!" I snapped back at her thinking, "Yeah, you know that guy, he used to be my boss and is one of the most respected managers within TCRS." "Well," she sounded nervous "from now on you have to only count 4 hours for that day." Confused,and let down I ask "well, what am I supposed to do for the extra 4 hours?" She replies, "Just skip lunches, and that will make up for it." Errrrrr!!! Can we just go back 1 sec? SKIP LUNCHES?!?! Ok, so what this lady is saying that she would rather follow a corporate policy that SUCKS then to follow all Human Resources and Employment laws? And HELLO! Does she know who my father is? So, I boldly state "That's breaking some laws there Christy! Are you sure you wanna do that? In fact you should probably talk to Human Resources and your manager before you decide where I will be making up those hours." For once the great state of Texas' shitty legal system is on my side! So needless to say, I have begun documenting every single second of my day. I know the laws, and I know my lawyer, and lets just say TCRS does not want me up in their shit!
On a better note of the day I had dinner with Mr. Jares. We enjoyed ourselves and I got to drive the 330i for the first time today! It sucked because the BMW's apparently have a very LONG yet tight gear stride (long & tight . . .no wonder why so many gay men have this car!). So I missed 4th gear twice, and I stalled 2 times also. But Chris just laughed and said "Oh well, I stalled more times then this when I started to drive it. You're not doing so bad." After dinner I sat with my friends Talia & Rick, and they asked me to be in their wedding as an Usher! This will be my first Wedding I will be in, and I'm so excited! Granted it's like a worker position, but that will just mean I'll deserve more beer and wine at the reception! HAHAHA!
Well that complete's my day! I'm gonna go to bed now (yes at 10:26). I'll talk to you later!
