Yay, work
Heard from my boss (indirectly) yesterday what the hours for the hours for the bookstore are going to be for the semester, and I'm not entirely sure I like the direction it went.
I'm going to be there between 55 and 60 hours a week. 55 if we get to close "early" on Thursdsay / Friday.
Now, normally, this wouldn't be an issue. However, at all previous jobs I was paid by the hour. Now, I'm paid a flat rate regardless of how much I'm there. Plus, I've heard that we want to be closed as little as possible, so that might make it pretty damn hard for me to take say a day or two off occasionally for cons so I can still have a life outside of my job. Looking at the hours as they've just been presented to me and the pay rate I'm at, I'm thinking that I'm getting, to put it bluntly, fucked over.
