I messed with a mesh! And it worked!

Most likely, to anyone with meshing experience, what I did tonight would be considered minor; but I'm bouncing off the wall in excitement about it. I'm admittedly a clutter freak. Part of that is defensive, watching a sim trek half way across the house and up two flights of stairs to drop the mail drives me nuts. So I cover every surface except a few needed for cooking.

I like towels in bathrooms. I have a few sets of decorative ones, from Windkeeper and Mirake that I overuse. But then I also have some wonderful recolors of various Maxis hanging towels by amythestfenix that I love.  Unfortunately the decorative surface towels don't match the recolors.  Isn't that just the way it always is?  I was going to ask the lovely people at Sims2Artists if someone could seperate the towels from the K&B shelf and slave them so that the original recolors would work.  But then I got to looking at it and thought that maybe it was a simple enough task that I could do it myself.  It took a bit of trial and error, a bit of cursing, rereading several tutorials and some finger crossing but I think they ended up fairly nice.

I extracted a pile of towels from this K&B shelf.

And made them into their own little object.  I then slaved them back to the original item using the repository technique.

So now everything matches!

Because I'm happy they work, I'm happy to share if anyone else might be interested.
