Summer in Familiarity (2.8)
It's the end of the Summer in the main hood! I finished up the last six houses in the rotation and shipped twenty-two teens off to University.
Familiar Eight
Dannon, Della, Emily (Elani at UNI) and Dandy
The Familiar clan lives in this house on the corner, it will need to be expanded for the next generation as currently there are only two bedrooms. There is a third floor play room in the attic with pool and music available.
This was the first generation for the home and currently living in it we have Dannon and Della (London) Familiar. Dannon is the son of David's first cousin Christopher and Della is one of Collin and Mary-Sue's brood. Both are fortune sims, Dannon is Fortune/Pleasure currently in the gamer career and Della is Fortune/Pop and a journalist.
Daughter Elani is hanging out in the hot tubs on campus currently but little sister Emily is still at home. Emily is currently Euclid Goth's steady sweetie and like her guy she is a family sim.
The family is allowed to live with Dandy who like most cats in the hood is descended from Al and Robin's first two.
Summer was a season of gatherings for the Familiar family, it started on Saturday with a Family Party. Coming in for the party were Dannon's mother Sadie, along with his sister Darlene's family. On Della's side her mother Mary-Sue tagged along with Dean's brood. Stepsister Angela came over from the play girl mansion and Lilith brought her family over. Kiernan and DJ brought Amin over and Elani and Elsie came in from University to round things up.
With the children growing up Daffodil was speculating that the adults would soon be required to age as well, but Della wouldn't listen to her warnings.
Meanwhile everyone stalked Great-Great Grandpa Kiernan (eww)
On Sunday Emily held a teen gathering where Edcel showed off his pelvic thrusts.
Easter and Emil got cute with non ACR squeezes.
Ebe popped a lock, Eowyn's to be exact.
Elijah wanted to pick a fight but was influenced to talk things over and chose to hang out with his worst enemy. The two boys stayed until the following morning and left still furious at each other but friends with a 100 daily relationship score.
As the week progressed Emily and Euclid got to go to a Community Lot for a date just in case Jenn needs filler for her next chapter.
And then it was time for Emily's graduation party!
At the party Earnest took matters into his own hands and convinced Buffy to pop his lock.
Simson
Mike, Dorthea, Erisha, Enya, Edge and Eve
The Simson house is a nice three bedroom, three bath box. It would probably work better as a beach type vacation house but it's good here and it's the border between the traditional homes and the more modern ones that are coming up.
Inside we have MIke and Dorthea (Indie). Both are Pops she's Pop/Fortune and he's Pop/Family. Currently Dorthea is an artist and Mike's trying to become a General.
Mike and Dorthea have three kids. The eldest is Erisha who's a very shy and serious knowledge sim and most likely in the running for prettiest girl of the generation.
Her polar opposite, personality wise, is little sister Enya future member of the naked hot tub club.
And then there's cute little Edge who was a bit of a surprise to me.
Cat Eve tolerates the family, though just barely in the case of Edge.
Summer Sunday Kid Party! Wide spectrum of kids and teens from around the hood showed up at the Simsons.
Elise had a busy day she stopped to pop Eric's lock, and then got in some long distance gossiping with Elton.
Early in the week the family gathered to watch Edge grow up. He's cute so he gets to keep the hat.
Mike tried to prevent Enya from growing up by throwing her in front of the car pool but it didn't work and he now has two teenage girls on his hands. In a very large generation Enya distinguishes herself as being the first true lesbian. There are quite a few bi females in the generation but previously none had randomized as fully gay.
The kids ended the rotation with a teen party, where Tea and Elbert got gropey and popped each other's locks.
While Eleanor tried to get Edward's attention by poking him. People skills they are lacking.
Nova 2
Dallan, Delphine, Easton, Elizabeth, Erin plus Dogs
Originally the next few houses were down a hill and in their own little valley which I designated as being for more modern architecture. During the rebuild the valley was flattened but the houses remain modernish.
Inside we have reader favorites Dallan and Delphine Nova. They are both romancers, Dallan is Romance/Fortune Delphy is Romance/Pleasure. Dallan is an artist but he's considering moving into music while Delphy is an actress looking to branch out and have her own cooking show.
Dal and Del have three (boggle) kids. Cheesecake twins Easton and Elizabeth along with oopsie Erin.
They also have three dogs. Alia, Jason and their daughter Arwen help to make the house seem overcrowded.
Seeing as it was Sunday there was a kid party. The number of actual kids in the hood keeps dwindling but there's more than enough to get together for some fun.
Elizabeth decided to pick on Ferdie and be his friend. Elizabeth is contrary she's shy, mean and playful. I guess it's better to be her friend than to not be her friend, but like her mother she's difficult to make friends with.
Easton tends to make friends a little bit easier, it might be because he's more outgoing but then again it could be the extra nice point. Easton has two in comparison to his twins one.
Elizabeth can be nice though when she wants to be. Considering that Elizabeth is the only child I've caught tormenting anyone I was a bit surprised when she choose to play peekaboo rather than to tease Erin.
BTW Erin did get the nose, that's the Dreamer beak. Ah well she's cute anyway.
You'll have to trust me that she grew up cute, I apparently got distracted by the chaos and didn't take a post birthday kid pic.
The day following Erin's birthday the cousins all came over again for a double birthday party.
I did manage to remember to take pictures of Easton and Elizabeth as teens. Easton's a pop and Elizabeth is Familiy.
On the last day of the season the twins dismissed the nanny and held an after school party while their parents were at work. Delphy came home to a mess and the realization that some how she'd managed to live out her worst nightmare and was now the mother of teenagers.
Familiar 9
Dryas and Talin (Eureka and Encore are at UNI) plus Barla
Another modernish house in which former plant spore Dryas Familiar and his husband Talin currently live. Dryas is Fortune/Pop and Talin is Family/Fortune. Dryas is a Oceanographer and Talin is currently on the Captain Hero bowling team.
Their two kids, Eureka and Encore are currently at University but cat Barla is keeping them company.
Since the kids are away the house was only played for twenty four hours. The guys went to work and then came home to throw a family gathering in order to do some relationship maintenance.
Familiar 10
Dawn, Heidi, Elton and Effie
Next up is yet another Familiar family. This southwesterny adobe is the home of Dawn and Heidi Familiar.
Both Dawn and Heidi are pops. Dawn is Pop/Fortune and currently trying out for the Captain Hero bowling league. Heidi is Pop/Knowledge and is in the military.
They have two children. Eldest is Elton a creepy nice smiling romancer who entered the rotation with his lock securely in place. Elton has begun to circulate a bit more in the hood but he still chooses to admire rather than to flirt.
Elton's little sister is Effie and she started the rotation as a child. Unlike her brother, Effie prefers to make mean faces and poke people.
Rotation began on a Saturday so the Familiar's had a family gathering. Heidi is a former vacation local from Takemizu so she doesn't have any family in the area, but Dawn has plenty to share. Dawn invited her parents Cale and Charlotte to come over and they drug along sister Dia and her family. Dawn's twin brother Deacon and his family came across the street to join in the party as well.
Sunday was a rather large teen party, and there were a lot of pops smutsling on the sidewalk.
Elton got up the nerve to pop both his and Eleanor's locks.
While Elm, the 'I'm a better romancer than my twin' gathered his third crush and popped Astra's lock.
Romancing Elan is still sitting tight on his lock. He tends to end up hanging out rather than flirting.
As the week moved on Eleanor stopped by a few more times.
She wasn't the only one that came to see Elton. Elton and his first cousin Enrique share three bolts with Evonne.
Ferdie proved my theory correct and hopped off the bus with Effie.
The problem with a house full of pops is that I tend to greet almost everyone that walks by and then loose track of what the visitors are doing. Crap! I should know better, Eva has a tendency to hop in hot tubs indiscriminately.
The final day of the rotation there was a birthday party rather than the traditional teen party.
Unfortunately we left the stereo on and Dorian crashed it.
However Effie did manage to grow up well any way. Effie is Pleasure, she wants to be a party guest.
Indie 3
Deacon, Dandelion, Everest, Elbert and Emerald
Last house in the main hood! YAY!
Inside the house lives Deacon (Familiar) and Dandelion Indie. Both are knowledge sims, he's Knowledge/Family and she's Knowledge/Fortune. Currently Deacon is an oceanographer and Dandelion is a journalist.
Deacon and Dandelion have three kids. Eldest is hat wearing Everest a pleasure seeker who will be leaving for University soon. Next up is Elbert a Knowledge sim who still has another rotation to go.
And then there's Emerald who will be around for awhile yet.
First day of the rotation was a Saturday which meant it was family day. I won't name everyone that came over since the house was completely packed. Dandelion is one of Calvin and Tamara Indies five daughters and Deacon has two siblings himself. I kept my fingers crossed and the video card held up for the day.
It didn't manage to make it through the first run of the Sunday kid party however.
Which was actually okay since I'd prefer to not have to deal with red hearts from Frankie and Emelda at this time.
On the second go around they just played video games instead.
There are a lot of townie teens in the party pics for this house because Everest is currently working on his fifty first date life time want. He wishes for friends and then dates the girls that drop.
I could just let Everest avoid the boys that drop but townies need love too!
This was also the house that I installed Mansions and Gardens in. I like the stuff, I LOVE the hair, but the animations are a bit weird.
As the rotation progressed Emerald got to have her birthday. She grew up well with grandfather Ideal's eyes but not his ears :(
My plant sims tend to be reader to sleepers, it would have been more cute if Dandelion had read Emerald to sleep rather than the teens.
Everest took care of Emerald's tucking in before he went to bed so she's all good.
Last day of the rotation was Everest's graduation party. The boys have decided that Evonne is the one to stalk. She however preferred to play whap with Emerald.
She did eventually take a break to flirt with Enrique.
The next morning Everest got to be the first in his class to head to the Uni bin.
Teenlist has been updated! Four new teens were added twenty two teens were moved to the Housing Assignment list.
