At the moment it seems as if everyone Evette has bolts for has more bolts for her twin. I can see there being some resentment and jealousy over that. Ewan really is a doll though, I can't see him taking too much advantage and if he did he wouldn't be one to kiss and tell.
Electra's profile is just funky but it can't fully be blamed on Draco's alien genes. Danya has a large forehead and well Dov's profile is weird as well, so it comes mainly from the Familiar side.
I really don't push teen relationships. I have them build friendships, anyone that gets drug home from school becomes a friend. When I have them work the phones they just call the highest non friend on their list. Sometimes it's a teen sometimes it's a townie. At gatherings I'll check the panels of the playables and see if there's anyone in the group that's ready to be best friends. If so I'll send them over to tell a joke or bust a move. For the most part I just let the kids take care of it all on their own.
Most likely with the Thompsons I would have made the playables go around and do entertain -> joke then chat with the new folks, just to break the ice. Not every gathering is a huge success, there's plenty of time.
I rarely think about commitments until sophomore/junior year of uni. Usually by that point everyone's had a chance to mix it up a bit and get to know a variety of folks. It's generally fairly easy to divert someones attention and distract them with someone that would be more acceptable.
