Summer in Familiarity (Pt. Three Final)
Whew the first rotation is finished!
Final baby count as of this rotation is twelve girls nineteen boys for the official generation with two more girls and one boy in the mix when it comes to who will eventually be at University . The girls finally nosed their way in there at the end so it's not as unbalanced as I was fearing. I'm guessing I'll have at least twice as many kids by the time I'm done with the generation as there are some couples that I expect to have a few more as well as some that haven't even had one yet. I still have at least one more wedding to do before all is said and done and a household to set up and add to the rotation eventually.
Dreamer Household #4 - Dashiell and Dimsi (London) Dreamer +1 Easter Dreamer
The First generation for this household. Dashiell is the eldest child of Banard and Tara Dreamer. Dimsi is the daughter of Cort and Celeste London and twin of Devon. Dash is Family - working on Gamer while Dimsi is Knowledge and recently joined the family Law Firm following her father's footsteps.
Dashiell is the most facially challenged sim of the generation. I've dubbed him the frog prince because as a toddler and child he well looked like a frog. Never the less he and Dimsi have been an item since high school and there's little accounting for sim taste. He looks a bit better now that he has the alien eyes but they are hugely buggy and he can't even wear most glasses since his eyes poke through them.
Giving Dimsi a secondary in Cheese like all of Cort and Celeste's children may not have been doing her any favors since both she and Dash are downright mean and she'll never be able to discuss her favorite food with her husband unless she's able to convert him. Cheese as a secondary pretty much takes over whatever aspiration is primary which is annoying to say the least. I expect my knowledge sims to at least occasionally roll wants to skill something other than cooking.
Daughter Easter was born on the lawn while Dimsi was greeting walkbys I'm guessing that walkby traffic was at least tripled with FT, I've counted 20+ at some houses by the end of the day. I'm not sure if I like it or not. On one hand relationships is the name of my game on the other hand the sims are so busy greeting new folks that they barely have time to socialize with the ones that are already there.
Easter is pretty much what I was expecting to get from Dashiell her eyes are a bit smaller than her father's so that's a good thing. Plus there's the full blown alien appearance with recessive skin tone showing up. Easter is a Pisces 6/2/9/5/6 another shy one for generation seven.
McAuley Household - Robert, Juliet and Diana
The McAuley household was begun last generation as Capp but once Juliet married Robert they became the McAuley's. Elliot will carry on the Capp name at his house.
Diana was a late life child for Juliet and Robert though mainly Juliet since she is older than her husband. I had elixired Juliet a bit in order to get her closer in age to Robert and because of Diana, Juliet got a bit more elixir. I didn't want Juliet to elder immediatly after giving birth. Normally I would keep a parent young until their youngest was a teen but in this case I didn't mainly because Juliet is a grandmother and she is supposed to be the same age as David.
Jules would probably have preferred to ignore her birthday and grow old with no celebration but Robert wouldn't let that happen and he invited the family over. Elliot and Deanna came as well as Juliet's still teen siblings Tybalt and Hermia. Her grandfather Consort.
For the most part I believe Juliet aged pretty well appearance wise that is, personality wise she's still Juliet.
Diana had a pretty good time playing the Llama game with her Aunt and Uncle as well as Egeus Summerdream who stopped by for the fun. She didn't however know quite what to think when Great-grandpa tried to teach her to pound her chest.
Young Household - Holden and Candice Young, Donar and Joshua Young +1 Erika Young
Household was begun last generation when Candice Young the prettiest girl of generation five married romancer Holden Young and together they had three chubby cheeked boys. The household is being passed to son Donar.
Dane (Young) Nova has a twin brother. His name is Donar and he's fairly much the opposite of his dim witted twin. Donar is now married to Joshua Rueban of Sim State. Joshua is the only legacy legal sim that married into the extended family this generation. Both Donar and Joshua are fortune sims Donar wants to be a Space Pirate like his Mom while Joshua is joining the family law firm. Lots of Lawyers this generation.
In addition to his two brothers there were lots of Indie cousins at the wedding though not everyone actually watched the ceremony. If she had to pick a romancer to swoon for I guess it was better to pick Coffee than her brother in law Dobry.
For some reason the fish tank at the Young's is highly attractive. We have tanks in other houses but they don't seem to draw the crowds that this one does.
On the last day of their rotation Donar gave birth to daughter Erika. After raising a household of boys last generation, Candice is getting Granddaughters much to our delight.
Familiar Household #6 - Bob, Sierra, and Blade Familiar - Adam Servo - Hun Bigfoot +1 Buffy Familiar
This household was officially reformed last generation when Bob and Sierra moved out of their family home transferring it to son Boris. The household is a hodgepodge of creatures and critters. And full of Surprises!
The Big Surprise of the Rotation and possibly the generation is that apparently Bob and Sierra CAN try for a baby all on their own these days. I had incorrectly thought that since they hadn't tried in over two generations that they were too old but after some questioning of TwoJeffs we decided that it wasn't Bob and Sierra's ages that were keeping them from trying but the ages of Benjamin and Boris. Once Ben and Boris passed away those two children were removed from the equation and well Bob and Sierra immediatly got to work on disproving that they were too old.
While we were waiting for BABY! we got to have some fun with Blade. Despite being a clone of his two elder brother's he's uniquely himself. Personality points lie and Blade's a sweetheart of a kid. So far he's BFF's with Erasmus Goth, Emlen Indie, Eureka Familiar and Egeus Summerdream. And there's a few more that he should cement soon. I thought it was quite hilarious that Bob wasn't interested in discussing paranormal I may need to have him do some magazine reading. My one fear in this house is that someday a vampire will burn while waiting to be hugged when coming home from work in the afternoon. They are both perma plat so I really have no worries. The closest we've come to having problems recently was when Bob got demoted at one point and spent about an hour doing the why me?
Buffy made her appearance a few days into the rotation. I'm thrilled by her genetics, not a clone, not an alien, not a boy, not a blond.
Hun threw a huge party for Blade's teening. He rolled family and wants to be the Minister of Education, but his first priority at the moment is a first kiss. We'll find him a target for that during the next rotation. As soon as he grew up he started fighting for rights to take care of little sis.
The next night right before rotation end it was time for Buffy to grow up. She's a darling little Sag 4/4/9/9/6 who reminds me a lot of her Aunt Betty.
Indie Household #2 - Calvin and Tamara Indie, Randy and Daria Indie +1 Eudora Indie
Household was begun last generation by Calvin and Tamara Indie and is being passed this generation to their youngest daughter Daria and her husband Randy.
The only townie teen sweetheart that was grown up and sent to University with the generation was Randy London. Daria asked for him daily for almost two years and so I eventually grew him up and sent him to join her.
Daria is another very pretty Indie girl, she and elder sister Demetria vie for the title of prettiest of the generation but since Demetria is a romancer Daria is the best looking of the ones that will be passing their genes along. She and Randy are both Fortune sims, Daria's an Athlete and Randy will eventually be joining the Criminal Mastermind Bowling League. Super stalkers, I eventually got fed up with their stalking and let Daria pee herself when after she whined about needing to go potty five times she still refused to go on her own because she just had to tell her husband another dirty joke. She had no problem taking a bath on her own after that.
Eudora is a very nice mix of both her parents genetic wise, we'll have to wait until next rotation to see whose eye shape she got.
One thing I will say about Calvin and Tamara is that they are doing an awesome job of making friends with all of their son in laws. At least one of them is best friends with each of their daughter's husbands. Considering that they have four son in laws compared to some that only have one and can't manage to be nice *cough Juliet cough* I figure that they are doing pretty well.
Familiar Household #7 - Cory and Lexi Familiar, Dale and Rose Familiar +1 Emil Familiar
Household was started last generation by Cory and Lexi Familiar and has been passed on to their eldest son Dale and his wife Rose.
I talked about Dale and Rose in a previous update, she was an elderly cafe worker that's was aged down after Dale decided that he couldn't live without her. I did determine that her aging down process didn't reset her actual age, which is why they never tried for a baby in their previous rotation. I did some tinkering in SimPE and set her days aged to be an adult and once that was done Dale and Rose got right on the trying. I wouldn't really have bothered me if they hadn't had children but I wanted it to be their decision especially since they were the ones that got the house.
Everyone in the house is an extremely outgoing finger gunner. Rose seems to have the UNI NPC coding that makes her walk into people's houses uninvited and she's made quite a few friends that way. They are loving the increased walkby traffic every day's a mini party for the Pops.
We did however eventually tell everyone to leave when Darius stepped on Emil while swooning for Demetria. There are some things I just don't appreciate. Setting the baby on the floor after giving birth in order to make the bed is one of those things as well. Of course with Darius standing on the baby Rose couldn't get past him in order to make the bed nor could she pick up Emil.
So we told them all to go home in order to get some proper baby care done around here.
Familiar Household #8 - Dannon and Della Familiar, Elani Familiar +1 Emily Familiar
Household was begun this generation by Dannon and Della (London) Familiar. Dannon is the son of Christopher and Sadie Familiar and Della is the daughter of Collin and Mary-Sue London. Both are Fortune sims, Dannon has already reached his LTW from topping Gamer while Della had a long wait before Journalism came up but she should be topping it shortly.
We previously introduced daughter Elani Familiar.
Fairly soon after the rotation began it was time for Elani's birthday. It was a fairly small gathering just her grandparent's and her Great-great Grandfather. Being the middle of the week and Della being very pregnant it wasn't a good time for big party. Besides Elani's afraid of parties, she's a Pisces 2/3/10/3/7.
Erasmus Goth played welcome wagon and came home with Elani on her first day of school the two serious minded kids autonomously choose to bond over the chess board.
We welcomed second daughter Emily to the family that same day. Unlike her sister Emily has Black hair, gray eyes and medium skin tone, though she does carry the recessive red from her father. Yay for genetic diversity!
When it came time for Emilly's tossing Elani surprised me and rolled up wants to talk to and to play with her sister. I rarely see those sibling bonding wants smack off the bat. Emily is a happy go lucky Aquarius 5/6/5/8/7.
Simson Household - Mike and Dorthea (Indie) Simson
This household is just beginning with the current generation. Mike Simson originally came to Familiarity as part of a TSR Challenge family, he and his twin brother David are target sims for the Double Trouble Challenge. While I've eliminated many of the challenge households I kept a few of the sims around and made them into townies. Dorthea is one of Calvin and Tamara's brood and of the five girls she reminds me the most of her Grandmother Bailey. Both are Pops, with Mike aiming to be a General and Dorthea wanting to be yet another Lawyer.
They had a fairly large late afternoon/evening wedding a few gate crashers joined the celebration. Aldric had stopped by before the ceremony so we tossed Emma a invite to balance the party but then Dorme heard that there was cake and so she decided to crash. Emma's pregnancy has apparently gotten to the craving stage, better go get her some ice cream Aldric.
The dual pops took advantage of all the increased walk by traffic and throughout the rotation the house was rarely empty. They also managed a fairly large combined family gathering over the weekend. When we left the house Dorthea was just as pregnant as big sister Delta, and like her sister she's been doing quite a bit of running around the hood. Dorthea's a fitness freak and even in an advanced state of pregnancy will often go jogging.
Familiar Household #9 - Dryas and Talin Familiar, Eureka and Encore Familiar
The household was begun this generation by Sporechild Dryas Familiar and his Islander husband Talin. Dryas is a fortune sim who became perma plat while living with Bob and Sierra and owning five top businesses. He currently owns only two a nightclub (?) called Darkness Falls that sports a dance floor surrounded by hottubs with a hotspring as the primary draw and a a flower shop. Talin is a family sim that is currently working on joining the Captain Hero Bowling League.
We've previously introduced their two children son Eureka and daughter Encore. As Eureka is showing everyone they are both extremely playful kids. Eureka is a Sag 6/6/10/10/3 and Encore is an Aquarius 6/5/6/9/6
The beginning of the rotation seemed to be all about family. First Amaya stopped by to give her stepson a hug, turn around Amaya he's beside you not in front of you. Later on Uncle Dov dropped by to make friends with Encore. Gotta love playful sims that will play with toddlers for hours on end.
Eureka hadn't been showing his face around the hood much so we went hunting for a kid that could be invited over. Dryas called his cousin Darius and asked him to bring Evan over so the two boys could bond.
Eureka's an inquisitive kid, always asking those questions that no one wants to answer. He's a good brother as well, he taught Encore how to sing a nursery rhyme and making friends before it was time for her to grow up.
Encore's birthday seemed to kickstart the kid greets a bit, Eureka brought Erasmus Goth home from school and then Encore greeted Blade.
One last hug as kids!
Dryas seems to be wondering what happened to the kid days? It's time for Eureka's teening.
Eureka rolled Fortune like his father Dryas and there's yet another aspiring Lawyer!
Nova Household #2 - Dallan Familiar and Delphine Nova
First generation for this household and it may be the only generation, dunno yet. I'm not planning on forcing children on them if they don't want any and I don't have unmarried TFB activated in their household so any pregnancy at this point would be a risky.
They did adopt a puppy named Jason from his parents that grew into a really ugly dog which was kind of expected considering that it's father is the ugliest dog I've ever seen come out of the puppy pool. Jason was a bit lonely as an only pup so they took in a stray German Shepard mate for him. For the life of me I can't remember her name at the moment.
Dallan and Delphy are very stalkerish, but they've been that way since they were teens. They are a strange couple of Romancers. One of the very few couples that displayed jealousy regularly while in college. They both only have one nice point and while they rarely display tempers, that could be the cause of their jealousy. Delphy is a pretty serious sim, and she's the toughest of the main cousins to befriend. It took Elle most of her teen years to make friends with Delphy let alone best friends because Elle would be at 100 str while Del would only have 30.
They do manage for the most part to get along with all of their family members, though there was a slight problem at Doyles wedding when Dov remembered that he dated Delphy way back in freshman year and got seriously mad at her for kissing Dallan. The whole family got mad at Dallan and Delphy for kissing in front of Dov, no matter that he's married to her cousin, no matter that they'd attended numerous parties prior to that where they were all over each other in front of Dov. A large part of this rotation was spent patching relationships.
Delphy is now perma plat for topping Show Biz, Dallan is still working on topping Artist. I cheaty gave them hobbies based on their career goals, so Delphy is interested in Film and Lit while Dallan is arts and crafts. Dallan is primarily a painter and Del is his primary model and muse. I'm most likely going to be sending them on vacation next rotation when Dallan tops his career.
Party Boys - Dwight Familiar, Cody Nova, Clay Familiar, Cameron Familiar, Adonis Servo, Donovan London, and Dobry Young
Second generation for the Party Boys, a free wheeling swinging bachelor pad full of devoted Uncles with their own brand of ethics. This generation we've added three more romancers bringing the total in the household to seven.
Adonis (Servo) Familiar escaped to the Party Boys in order to avoid marriage to Spore Child Eva Familiar.
Donovan London is the son of Caine and Lora London, twin brother to Douglas. He's a lumpy and shy London that's exceedingly neat and nice and wants 20 simult loves.
And Dobry Young eldest son of Holden and Candice, big brother of Dane (Young) Nova. He's a sloppy lazy Libra that also wants 20 simult loves.
Clay's brother Cael gave the boys a cat named Fax who grew into a really cool looking bandit. Fax isn't the only growing up around here. I've been putting off this party for awhile but it was time.
Unlike most birthday parties this one wasn't a family affair single women only please no charge for admittance.
Every single one of them rolled up the want to quit their jobs :) I may let them retire, it's not like they need the money. The household has about 400k all the toys they'd ever need and over 100 family friends.
Playgirls Household - Caitlyn Indie, Rosie Servo, Daxia Dreamer, Angela Pleasant, Demetria Indie and Delilah Familiar
Last generation Caitlyn Indie lived a solo romancer lifestyle, just her and her dogs. This generation they got a lot of roommates. It's not a convent but it's not a cat house either.
First up was Rosie (Servo) Familiar originally Rosie was activated to help Colette Familiar run her five top businesses but after we were finished with those Rosie tried to occupy her time with Colette's husband Chip. Since I didn't want ACR related strife in the household Rosie the popularity servo moved out. When she acquired her tenth lover she also acquired a secondary Romance aspiration. She's perma plat from previously having twenty best friends and she's now trying to land a job in journalism.
Daxia Dreamer is the eldest child of Carlise Dreamer and the only child that he and his wife Kaylynn share. She a romance sim that reached her LTW this rotation as a celebrity chef.
Angela Pleasant rerolled Romance at junior year and now wants 20 woohoo's. She's working in the Music biz as well.
Demetria Indie; another of Calvin and Tamara Indie's gorgeous girls, is a very odd romancer. As soon as I heard that secondary aspirations were going to be possible I flagged her as Romance/Knowledge as she's always been a knowledge sim. She achieved her LTW as Minister of Education during this rotation.
And finally there's 'Hey There' Delilah Familiar. Youngest child of Cael and Amaya she's Dov's little sister and a good friend of both Emma and Elle. Delilah's one of the few people that's able to shock Elle with her occasionally outrageous behavior.
Like her contemporaries the Party Boys, I'd been delaying Caitlyn's eldering for awhile. There was no more putting it off though. Again this wasn't a family affair, just men please on the guest list.
Familiar Household #10 - Dawn and Heidi Familiar +1 Elton Familiar
This is the first generation for this household. Dawn Familiar is the daughter of Cale and Charlotte, twin sister of Deacon. Dawn met Heidi Fuchs while her dorm was on Spring Break in the Far East. She doesn't look oriental but Heidi was a local. We found out with these two that one way around the 3 day houseguest provision is the ACR booty call. Anytime Dawn wanted to go on a date she'd make booty call and Heidi would show right up. Both ladies are Pops; Dawn wants to be a Captain Hero and Heidi is in the Military.
The two brides were married in an evening ceremony attended by Dawns relatives and many of the couples friends.
Since they are both Pops they are mucho enjoying the increased walk by traffic and are always willing to share a meal, a sidewalk smutsle or a hottub with their friends.
At the end of the family's rotation we welcomed son Elton to the household, he's got Heidi's red hair.
Indie Household #3 - Deacon (Familiar) and Dandelion Indie +1 Everest Indie
The final household of the rotation is again a new one with this generation. Living next door to his twin sister Dawn is Deacon and Dandelion Indie. Deacon is the son of Cale and Charlotte Familiar and Dandelion is the last of Calvin Indie's five daughters. Both are knowledge sims and therefore Dandelion will not be taking the plantsim cure. Deacon wants to be a Mad Scientist and Dandelion wants to top Gamer.
Calvin can even make pretty girls with Ideal. This is what Dandelion would look like if she wasn't a plant.
Deacon and Dandelion were married in an afternoon ceremony attended by numerous Familiars and Indies.
A couple of low rollers Dandelion was already pregnant at the time of the wedding, easiest pregnancy ever plantsim motives being super simple to take care of, she spent most of her pregnancy earning a bronze and then a silver fishing badge and working in the garden. She should Max enthusiasm in nature during the next rotation.
We quickly welcomed Everest Indie to the family who had his toddler toss directly prior to the rotation's end. Everest is a Libra 5/9/4/5/10 he's got the plantsim eyebrows from his mom but he didn't get her elf ears.
And that's a wrap up of the current family's in Familiarity. I wanted to post an introduction to all the households early on in the generation. In later rotations I may do birthday spams but don't worry I won't bore anyone with lots of prattle. I'm heading back to the main Legacy household soon where I'll hopefully find out if we're going to have an heir or an heiress for the generation and after that I should be ready to work on writing chapter 25.
