So the madness of Ndabaningi goes on as the depressive episodes have largely given way to delayed sleep instead. 3.30am seems to be the earliest these days, though after the long weekend I got home just after midnight and hoped to be awake for around 9am on Monday in order to go back to work. Finally dropping off at 7am isn't what I had in mind.

Over to the surgery twice today, first time to see my doctor as I needed a sickness certificate for work and to my surprise I've been signed off for another week, though the change in nighttime meds may well be of some benefit.

Trip number two was my first counselling appointment which was basically an hour recanting my life story, family and outside relationships and attempting to determine what triggers my low cycles. Some of the questioning was way off the mark but I appreciate that this time around the scattergun approach was needed to establish various bits and pieces. Next round of story time is in a fortnight though the afternoon appointment's not ideal assuming I'm back at work by then. My company have been rather more understanding than I've given them credit for, so I'm lucky in that respect. My attempts at motivation are still akin to turning an aircraft carrier in treacle though. Heigh ho...
