Twist Of Fate chapter 2:Definately, Maybe
Jasper still wasn't sure if this was a good idea.
He had tried to talk Carlisle out of it. Had tried to convey the fact that now, for an entire two weeks, he couldn't even walk the halls of his own home without wondering if he would kill anyone. But of course, They had faith in him. Faith he did not deserve. No one but Alice, and of course Edward, knew about the homeless man he had taken just last month.
So at esme's encouragement, he tried to talk to one of the humans. He decided to talk to the one they called Jackson.
He entered the living room slowly, tentatively approaching the couch where Jackson sat-his mate Ashley curled in his arms-and sat down stiffly.
Jackson smiled and gave a cheerful hello.
Jasper fumbled for something to say. "Are you enjoying your stay here so far?"
Ashley nodded. "It's great. Crazy-too crazy to be real-but great."
They sat in an awkward silence. Ashley had her head propped on Jackson's chest. there was a red mark on her neck...he realized they had been kissing, and that he had most likely interrupted them.
He cleared his throat. "Um...forgive me if I've interrupted something..."
Jackson gave a good-natured laugh. "Nah, you're good. Speaking of, Carlisle told me you're a knockout on the baseball field?"
Jasper was relieved to notice a faint southern accent in his impersonator's voice. Texan, to be exact.
"You're from Texas?" He prodded, ignoring Jackson's statement. He hated talking about himself.
Jackson nodded. "Among other places. I used to travel all over the world following my dad's work. We settled in Midland, Texas. That is, until I moved to Hollywood following an acting career."
Jasper was intrigued. He started asking him what texas looked like now. It had been so long...He could never see texas again. He could never go back, not just because he would attract too much attention in the sun, but because of the haunting memories he was sure to find there.
As they talked, Jasper began to relax. He could definately handle being around the humans. Especially if they were all like this.

Later that night, all the Vampires had to hunt, leaving the humans to themselves. Rob and Kristen started making out, eventually ending up naked in Edward and Bella's room.
Jackson sat with Ashley on the couch. He had his arm wrapped loosly around her. She sighed, and began kissing his jaw. He looked down at her curiously, and giggled when their noses smashed into each other.
"Ash, What are you-"
She pressed a finger to his lips, silencing him, then slowly began unbuttoning his shirt. He gave a small groan, and leaned back, allowing her to climb into his lap. She felt really, really good above him. This thought made him even harder than he already was. Oh, boy.
She pressed her lips against his, and he moaned as their tongues met in his mouth. His hands slid over her body, gripping her and presssing her against his Hard-on; She squealed in excitement as her hands slipped under the hem of his Jeans, wrapping her finger's around the erection and squeezing slightly.
"Eager, are we?" His voice was strained.
"Damn straight!" She said with a devilish growl.
"Well in that case, carry on." His accent was slightly thicker. He fucking loved it when she was like this. When she diddn't care where they were, or who might see. In fact, the chance of getting caught always seemed to be a turn-on for her. Sexy.
He gave up trying to move slowly, and they made love together, there on the sofa in a vampire's living room.

A/N: Okay, chapter two! I diddnt get that many reviews on the intro and first chapter, but what I did get encouraged me to keep going. Remember, without fans, I have no one to write to, so please show me some love!
I know this chapter was a little quieter, but I figured I needed to explain Jasper's reaction. And who doesn't like a good Jackshley love scene? It's difficult trying to write two major fics at once, since I diddn't expect to be writing this right away, but I promise New Beginnings has not been forgotten. I have concepts for the remaining chapters, and now it just have to write them. Again, thank you so much for all your love and support!! You guys fucking ROCK!!!!
