A Twist of Fate chapter 1, Introductions
Robert Pattinson stared incredulously at the man claiming to be Carlisle. No, not claiming to be...he was Carlisle. But before he had a chance to speak he was being swept out the door.
There, Parked perfectly against the curb was a Black Mercedes, followed by a silver Volvo S60R. Both of the cars were beautiful, but it wasn't the Volvo's paint job that attracted his attention. It was the boy leaning casually against it.
He was tall and thin, and looked to be about seventeen. His skin was just as pale as his father's was, and his short, unruly bronze hair was tossed slightly by the breeze. His blue button down shirt had the first three buttons undone, exposing a perfectly sculpted chest. For a moment Rob felt gay. The boy could only be defined one way-beautiful.
He looked up to see the boy staring at him, a look of quiet amusement in his golden eyes. "At least he's not hungry," Rob thought with a shiver.
The boy laughed softly.
"I appologise if I intimidate you. It is an unfortunate effect of my...condition. I'm Edward Cullen. You needn't worry, I don't bite. At least, not people anyway." He laughed dryly at his own joke.
Just then Kristen pranced up and wrapped her arms around Robert's neck. He hadn't seen his girlfriend in forever, and relished the physical effect she had on him. He kissed her gently, aware of Edward's talent. It left him slightly uncomfortable. She giggled as she slid her hands into the back pocket of his jeans and gave his ass a playful squeeze. He managed to untangle himself from her after covering her neck and throat in kisses, and
gave an appologetic look toward Edward. He simply flashed that crooked grin and said:'
"You need not worry about offending me. I understand completely, and will try to find a way to get you two some privacy later." Rob nodded and climbed into the car.Kristen and Jackson soon followed, leaving everyone elsed in the mercedes. The ride up to the house was full of laughter. Rob crank called Kellan, who responded by farting into the phone, vicariously planting a fart bomb in Rob's face. Nikki and Ashley had started a makeout session, and were texting the details to all of the male cast members. Somehow a picture of Kristen's boobs got sent to Taylor's phone. There was a twelve minute debate over what to put on the radio. There was almost a three-way in the back of the volvo, had Edward not put a stop to it. Kellan began making a list of blonde jokes for when he met Rosalie. Someone ended up punching Peter in the balls, then sent a picture of his face to everyone. Ashly started a game of text message-sex with jackson. Kristen started a game of text message-sex with Robert.
Finally they were there, and the rest of the cullens were waiting.
they suddenly remembered to be nervous again, and the laughing stopped. Alice was the first to walk up and wrapped Jackson in a hug. He simply stared at her, startled by her friendlyness.
"You're Jackson!" she said excitedly.
"Yes...."
"You look just like him! Jasper, come here!"
A tall, discretely muscular man with a mess of blonde curls slowly approached. Jackson eyed him nervously. When he greeted them, he spoke with a thick southern accent. "Howdy. It's ,er, a pleasure to meet you...finally..."
He seemed completely uncomfortable. The rest of the introductions went smoothly. It was obvious that they were going to be great friends. Alice ushered the girls into her room to do girl stuff, leaving the men to themselves. Jasper seemed worried by this fact, but Edward and Carlisle were supportive, and even Rob tried to help.
They settled down to watch the baseball game, and Jackson and Carlisle got into a discussion about their favorite teams and players. Rob and Edward began to realize that they had almost everything in common, and instead tried to find things to dissagree about, much to Emmett's amusement. Kellan and Emmett exchanged stories about rediculous pranks they had played in high school. And Jasper, Taylor, and Jacob fluttered from subject to subject.
It was like staying at any other house, and when they all prepared to go to bed, everyone had a smile on their face.
