It's Friday... Really! *sigh*
So, The deal I have to post every Friday is not quite working, but I am coming close, which for me is an improvement. So, it is Sunday but this will have to act as my Friday post.
Nothing much new going on, I am settling in to the new job, and people keep asking me how it is going. Well, it has potential! Both for tremendous good, and monumental bad! Does anyone know why people when faced with a vision for the future, immediately shoot it down, claiming that while it might be a good idea it will never possibly work. It is quite annoying. Look people - work with me and we can actually change how things work (or don't work).
I am watching the Presidential primary bouts with some mixture of amazement, amusement, fear, and hope. I am glad that the republicans are not just rolling over - while McCain is the only Republican I would vote for it is good to see people fighting for their voices to be heard. Too bad I don't agree what the other voices are trying to say. As for the Democrats, Hillary frightens me - Is there anything she would not say or do to get elected? I like Obama, and am hopeful for his campaign, and I like how he is running it. Maybe, just maybe, we can make some forward progress as a country after the abysmal run we have had.
I need to get to work on my syllabus for my class!
On a lighter note, my two year old, squeak, has become obsessed with Monsters Inc. - At least he has good taste! It is wicked cute when he runs into the house and yells "SULLEEEEY!!"
