"Saturday night in Dayton Ohio is like being no place at all" or Jenelle's Midwest Trip Day 1

Those really are song lyrics.  But so far, this day and Dayton have been kinda cool.  The drive up wasn't so bad.  Took us about 10 hours including a few stops.  But we had good conversation and good music and even listened to part of Jon Stewart's book "America" on her ipod.  (Which is really funny stuff!)

Our hotel is awesome!  I think it is the nicest one I have ever stayed at.  I mean, it isn't super dooper fancy.  And true we are not staying on the private executive floor like the guy who checked in before us...but it is freakin cool.  We are thinking of having a drink tomorrow night in the rooftop lounge which is very "Lost in Translation."  We plan on making eyes at old men that look like Bill Murray.

So after we checked in we just walked down the street hoping to find something to eat.  And we stumbled into a neat thai restaurant just a few blocks away.  We had a great dinner.  I had mango curry with a spice level of 7 on a scale of 0-9.  It wasn't very spicy by my standards, but still very very good.  The restaurant was in a district with cool little bars and a theatre and stuff too.

So far, Dayton is turning out to be cooler than I expected.
