I had a
wonderful birthday! Evan and I didn't do a whole lot, but what we did was fun. We ate dinner at Sushi Thai, which we have now dubbed the official special occasion eating place since we went there on his birthday too. We had gyoza, miso soup, salad with ginger dressing, shrimp tempura and three different kinds of sushi rolls. And it was all really cheap. It was all so good and fun to sample a bunch of different things.
I also got some lovely presents. I got a cool cast iron tea pot, a silver necklace, a lunchbox, a few little things and some money...and the coolest birthday card ever from mere and alison.
This was much better than the year my family took me to some Texas steakhouse for my birthday dinner and all the waiters sang a song and gave me a "big birthday yeehaw."
Would anyone be interested in a midweek chocolate birthday party? Like on Wed the 11th or Thurs 12th? I didn't plan on it being a late night affair anyway.
