NCIS VERSE Frequently Asked Questions and Beginners Post (text lovingly borrowed fromfringeverse )

What is NCIS Verse?
Fringeverse is a challenge based community inspired by the greats like jjverse and whedonland . You play on one of three teams: Team Bullpen, Team Laboratory, or Team Morgue. Once you apply and have been placed on a team you take part in challenges, could be anything from graphics, writing, games, to just plain luck there are lots of options! As the game goes on every team will gather points and at the end of a round the team with the most points will win glory, honor and a nifty banner. Then all the points will be gone and we start again :) The current round-info will be in the sidebar.

Ready to join the fun?
Apply here! Be sure to check your community invites for your invites to your team and the main challenge pages.

Now that you have applied and been accepted you may be wondering some things, like what to do now!

First go check out your team page and if there is an introduction post be sure to participate and let your team know who you are! Teams that communicate with each other do better than ones that don’t!

You may be ready now to start right in on the challenges. There are links to all open challenges in the side bar.

How do I enter a challenge?
To enter a challenge, unless otherwise directed (directions are always provided with each challenge) leave a comment with your entry at the Challenge Post. Often, comments are screened so you may not see any other entries.

Some challenges are to be done by individuals so don’t discuss the content of your project/game unless we say so, challenges that are open for discussion within teams will be announced in the challenge.

Unless otherwise stated you can use any resources you have available, be it google, wikipedia or imdb.com. You don't have to remember it all! You can always edit or repost until the deadline if you want to change your entry unless otherwise stated.

What is expected of me?
Please keep in mind that this community only works if the members are active! This does not mean that you have to enter every challenge; we understand life can get busy. But if you don't enter one challenge every two weeks we will send you a message. Then you have four days to either enter a challenge or reply to us. If you don't we will remove you from the community. You are of course welcome to join again when you feel like coming back!

Please let us know if you want to take hiatus or are going on holiday etc. That way you won’t get cut while you are away :) You can do so at the page a mod post listed in the sidebar!

What if a challenge I am not good at comes up?
Give it a go anyway! You never know you may find a hidden talent! But, even if you don’t it is participation that counts not skill! You will always get points for participating.  You may find you aren’t the only one making stuff up as you go along!

Signature banners? What are those for?
We would like to know what team you play for and this is a fun way of letting us know all your information in one shot! Once you're placed on a team you are encouraged to make a signature banner, or request someone on your team to make one for you. The maximum size is 300x150 and must include your team name as well as your name or username

Tag banners may be used in every challenge unless otherwise stated as you receive an extra point every time you use it. However, it must be posted the first time and not edited in after.

Do you have a spoiler rule?
Yes. With NCIS not being readily available to everyone around the world at the same time we have taken into consideration a waiting time for things from new episodes to be used in challenges. The waiting time for challenge use is 2 weeks after the air date of an episode. After 2 weeks it is considered fair game.

NO Bashing Rule:
This is a fan run community for FANS of NCIS. If you are not a fan you have no business here. We all have our favorite characters and characters we don't like. So please be respectful of others when making and posting your challenge entries. If you need to be warned about Bashing Behavior more then a couple of times you will be asked to leave. During episode discussions and such you are free to vent about a character, but still remember to respect others rights to their own opinions. Agreeing to disagree is not a bad thing!

Can I post at NCIS Verse?
Nope, sorry the only people that can post at NCIS Verse at this time is me, your friendly mod  klingonlady (Jamie). You are however encouraged to post in your team pages, build up that team spirit, post reminders; play games, have fun with it. There will be team leaders to help keep things organized on each team but everyone will have posting access.

What if I have to leave the community?
We understand that life can get hectic or busy or that you may lose interest in fandom. If you need to leave for any reason leave us a note at the opt out post in the sidebar and let us know you are going. We will be sad to see you go, but you will be welcome back at any time you have time to rejoin us!

What if I have a question about a challenge? You can ask right there on the challenge, we will provide a thread at the start of the comments of each challenge for questions.

What if I have a general question?
You can ask a comment over at the page-a-mod post listed in the sidebar and I will get back to you as soon as I can!

We hope you have fun! We are glad to have you here!
