In trouble

Jethro sat in the truck on the way back to Liz's having no idea why he was in trouble but he knew he was. Jen had practically been a block of ice toward him since he'd woken up. When they finally arrived he'd grabbed their bags and was no trying to prepare himself to head into the lion's den. He was going to have to ask Jen what was wrong.

Jen hadn't bothered to wait for him, just went right into the house as soon as the truck stopped moving. Noemi stayed behind to help Jethro with the bags, since there were three of them this time. Jen's in the kitchen, leaning against the island, working on a big glass of water.

Once he and Noemi had gotten the bags upstairs he had come back down making his way to the kitchen to Jen. "Jen?"

She doesn't say anything, but at least she acknowledges she heard him with a raise of her eyebrows.

"Do I get to know why you're mad at me?" He tilted his head looking at her curiously.

[on_jennys_terms]

"Why do you think I'm mad?" she asks, setting the now empty glass on the counter beside her and shoves her hands into the pockets of her jeans.

"You mean what reason or what signs do I see because you ignoring me the whole way out here was a big clue,"he sighed,"And I have no idea what reason you'd have."

She continues to just stand there. "Think about it for a moment, Jethro. What have you done recently that was incredibly stupid?"

"As far as I know Jen I haven't done anything,"he rubbed a hand over his face.

[on_jennys_terms]

"Then let me enlighten you. I got up early this morning so I could do some laundry before we left. And interestingly, as I was putting some things in the closet in the baby's room, of all places, I came across a box. Do you know what was in that box, Jethro?" Somehow, she makes flaming mad feel like a blizzard.

Oh he knew what was in that box this was so not a good thing at all. "I think I know what was in that box Jen."

"Really." That is definitely not a question. "It might behoove you to elaborate right about now."

[ncis_ljgibbs]

"I'm guessing from the level of pissed you're at right now you found Kate's picture,"he straightened up a little.

She crosses her arms, tilts her head, and gives him a look.

"We'd only been together a few months when Ari...the picture was inspired by a case we'd had once,"he smiled sadly.

She stares at him for a second and then blinks. "A case inspired you to take a picture of her wearing hardly anything but your shirt."

[ncis_ljgibbs]

"No a case inspired her to ask.She was a little worried about my prior relationship history but said she was going to trust me with the pictures. Then she told me if I hurt her or anyone saw those pictures she'd hunt my ass down and shoot me,"he shook his head. "She'd have done it."
