Firstly I'd just like to say thank you to everyone who has read my reviews (be it one, all or a handful) throughout this season. Also thanks to those of you who have commented on them (again be it on one, all of a handful); I've certainly enjoyed the discussions we've had. I know there have been times that we haven't always agreed on parts, but

I have to say I'm glad I'm not the only one who was confused and as you say it was quite a feat given how slow moving it was. More than one scene I actually had to replay as I was writing the review as my notes didn't make sense - and the Gibbs & Rivera scene I replyed three times and was still 'huh'? If they'd cut the 'case' from last week's ep and the citizenship, as you say, from this week, they could have done it in one.
Gibbs & Vance really were wonderful together. Vance is growing on me more and more. It was lovely to see Ducky and Jimmy, dear Jimmy, bless him. I'm sad that neither were at the ceremony and I don't agree with your take that it comes full circle (but you wouldn't expect me too). Tony was working, but Gibbs would have been there had it not been for 'her' turning up. It's a huge shame they were both missing; bad call IMO.
I hadn't thought that it might tie in with the 'good cop' thing, but it could be that. And the more I think about it, the weaker this 'life changing' rule was because we know Gibbs breaks his own rules. Not just 'sorry' but if he needs to keep suspects together, he will. So a weak rule I felt.
I think Gibbs was there too or maybe she'll kidnap Jackson, but she isn't going to kill him.
Yes, I noticed RW's name didn't appear in the credits at the beginning; well I thought I'd noticed it and thought 'how like the wonderful Buffy ep where Giles turns up at the end' and ASH's name didn't appear. But then I thought 'you're probably wrong, missed it or remembering the wrong name, etc. So I'm glad you confirmed it wasn't there *g* Like you I'm not sure that was the thing we should have been impressed by.
Yes, please Gibbs in suits - I'm joining you with the shallow. But I'll keep Tony in suits too *g* Gibbs was getting dressed up for Ziva's thing, he's good like that *g* But he looks so good in dressed up clothes.
Hart and Mexico spoilt the season, IMO. It had some good eps, but overall . . . Where has our show gone? But then we've been asking that for a long time :-( As I said on Twitter, they won't change what's working so well *Sighs*

I like Vance, he's how Jenny should have been written. There's a history with Gibbs, but not one involving sheets. Well, I assume it didn't *g*. It's a shame that one of the most memorable scenes - Jimmy & Ducky - wasn't actually really doing anything for the case. It was a lovely moment, don't get me wrong, but it almost felt filler-like which in a finale shouldn't be happening. There shouldn't really have been time. But Jimmy trying to 'help' is always fun to watch. No, I didn't expect you to agree :) but in my tiny little mind it was fitting. Even ignoring that, I honestly had no problem with them being missing. Though I knew Tony would miss it the minute he said he would be there at the elevator.
And this is why SB shouuld learn to shut the hell up. Second season running there's been some so called huge life changing decision/thing. When it finally comes we're left going WTF?
I assume he's there, Gibbs did call Jack & I can't believe he'd do nothing if Jack refused to leave. If not she takes Jack and Mike & Tony take the brother. And we all live happily ever after from 8x03 onwards.
That was an awesome moment on Buffy and while it wasn't as OMG here, at least they got the credits bit worked out. And I like how over the years they've fixed the foofs! so they don't totally give away the entire plot quite like they used to.
Hart, Mexico and the total lack of team. I'd rate this finale higher than last year's clusterf*ck but it could have been so much more :(

I think we can indeed assume it didn't *g* He's grown on me. Oh, I agree, it was very much a filler scene :-( And in truth it could have gone, ditto the opening squad room scene (also fun) and hence the two in one episode *sighs* I think it was a bad mistake to have them missing, actually. Given they'd made a big thing about the ceremony, there was no reason for the whole team not to be there. It was sloopy and pointless writing.
Well exactly! But he must believe in it, otherwise he wouldn't keep saying it, would he?
Well quite! He's hardly going to have said 'fine, Dad, don't worry, I didn't really mean for you to go, just thought I'd see what it sounded like *g*)
Wasn't it just? Giles when he came in the look, his voice, what he said and how he threw the spell at Willow *shivers* It wasn't quite like that, no. But good that they did keep it a secret.
