Sorry for the delay in replying, I got bogged down with non-NCIS related things (shocking, I know *g*)

*Falls off chair* You loved it? No, surely not *g* Sorry. *Smacks hand* Is teasing you (as you know).

I am really glad you enjoyed it so much. And that the expected fall-out didn't happen.

RW was indeed superb. And I'm really so pleased you liked McGee's gleeful scene in MTAC. I loved it and yes, I thought it showed how close they are perfectly. It was so good. And so unfair there was no Jimmy.

DMc has always said he'll go when MH does. My 'feeling' is that, assuming MH isn't coming back (and if he doesn't that's the end of NCIS) then they'll kill him off and *swallows hard* they'll show Ducky as developing the same problem as his mother has. We know if an actor goes by choice TPTB like to kill them off and if you've got two going then my take is they won't make in an easy leave.

Ducky's been troubling me for some time, on and off this entire season and I find it very worrisome. I know Sparky thinks it's 'bad' writing, but Gibbs reacts to all of Ducky's 'off-ness' and seems taken aback, etc. Sparky did also suggest maybe it's just because of Ducky having to face the fact his mother is going to die soon. And it can't be easy to visit someone - and knowing Ducky he won't just go once a month - who is like that. Maybe that's the reason.

But yes, I'm worried :-(

Say what now? There are such things as 'non-NCIS'? Huh.

*sticks tongue out*

He really was, though I confess to not having been as squee-tastic as most everyone else seemed to be when the casting was announced - I don't really have much of a clue as to who RW is :-/

Oh I loved McGee there! The look on face was adorable.

Yeah, I'm becoming more convinced by the day he's not coming back - no real grounds for it, just a feeling with the front & centre of other characters this season. And that weird voice over of McGee's in whatever ep that was. And DMc has indeed always said that. I would hope Ducky doesn't go the same way as Mrs M, more that if Gibbs is KIA Ducky decides the time has come to retire. It's a little more dignified that way

I know, I was shocked too *g*

Didn't your mother ever tell you not to do that in case the wind changes? *g*

I knew him from a few things, yes, me. One being the Colditz series which also starred DMc. It was only later I learnt that MW played RW in something.

I'm glad you did. I thought it was too. I love this kind of interaction between them, perfect sibling teasing.

I know. I know. That's my feeling too, I have to say. And like you I have no grounds for it, other than the reasons you state. I too hope that if he does go and they kill him off (which I'd expect) then they do let Ducky just retire.

I think the only way for Gibbs to exit is in a body bag. Retirement didn't exactly work out last time, plus if he were to retire there would be a constant sense of waiting for him to pop back up and save the day - assuming the show carries on that is

As much as I'd hate them to kill him off, I do so agree with you on all points *g*

I honestly couldn't see the show surviving without Gibbs.

I think they'd try it for a season, see how it goes. I agree it wouldn't work, but I do think they'd try. It's too much of a ratings cash cow not to

I guess it depends on how brave SB is. To go out on a high point is far better than staggering along and then have people remember just that bad and he does have his new shiny, so . . .

For 'brave' read how big is his ego... ITA on going out on a high, but can't think of many shows that have done it gracefully :-)

We know it's big!

Sad, but true.
