Ducky riffled through the mail. The usual bills and a postcard from Hawaii… addressed to Gibbs.
“Jethro, you have mail. Who would send correspondence to you at Reston House and not at your home address?” The ME queried.
The gray haired took the proffered card and turned it over. He read:
I knew that if I sent this to your house, it would go under that pile of mail and you would never read it. I figure that the Doctor would make sure that you got it.
I wanted you to know that I found someone. Someone who loves me and can give me the security and future that you could not or would not give. We were married last week.
I hope that you find someone that will finally make you happy.

“Nah.” Gibbs said as he tossed the card in to the wastebasket. “ Hey Duck, have I told you lately that I love you?”
