*sniffles* That was so sweet *teary eyed* I loved how you went through the senses, touch, sight, listening, and how Ducky completed Jethro. I love the case you put in the background, and how you showed Jethro's passionate side and how the law isn't always fair. I <3 the first two lines. It really sets the mood.

*hugs* Thanks for sharing mon amie!

::Pets:: and hands a tissue over. Thank you so much. I'm delighted that you enjoyed it.

I thought it was time we had a couple to Jethro introspection kind of stories and saw that he'd more than just the coffee-slugging, gun-carrying, 'bastard' (his word, not mine) we see - which we know he is anyway, but ...

I'm glad the whole senses thing worked too. The do indeed complete one another.

Thank you so much.

Oh, wow!!!!

Very powerful....

Nice to know that Jethro isn't the complete bastard everybody thinks he is. Nice bit with the self-loathing and how Ducky eases it so Jethro can continue to function.

We all have abilities that sometime sicken us even though we use them for the greater good. *see I'm being profound again...lol*

Giving Jethro a big hug...

Thanks again for such a wonderful story.

Ooh, thank you very much. I'm so glad to hear that you found this powerful.

I actually think that Jethro believes himself to be a more complete bastard than most people think him to be. Abby says how nice he is, Ducky loves him, so a lot of it is his self-belief (and the image he wants to project).

We all have abilities that sometime sicken us even though we use them for the greater good. *see I'm being profound again...lol*

You are indeed - has the fever gone? But also amazingly accurate.

He needs a hug, very much.

Thank you for reading and commenting. I'm so glad that you enjoyed it.

has the fever gone?

I'm slowly on the mend...sigh

In fact, I got attacked by a ginger haired plot bunny, so in the next few weeks I'm hoping to post some Dino stories...lol

Dino is another one of those fellows who thinks of himself as a complete bastard, but really isn't.

Gotta love those kind of guys...sigh

Glad to hear that head and desk will survive.

Also, that you are making some progress towards writing. Letters are good... Maybe they could slip over into something fictional.

Very nice contrast of having to be tough to get the job done, yet understanding the softer parts of who you are and who makes you strong enough to still do the tough parts. I love this pairing, though I just found it, and hope for more stories!

Hi there and welcome. I'm glad to hear that you love this pairing.

Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the story and the contract between the tough and the softer parts.

There will be more stories, I'm doing the fanfic100 challenge, and we run monthly challenges on this Comm. You'll find more fiction by all the Gibbs/Ducky writers in the memories filed under fiction and under individual writers.

Thank you for stopping by and commenting. It's always lovely to find a new Gibbs/Ducky lover.
