Rough Draft Submission:
Early submissions are welcome.
Please put your story Title and Author's name in the subject line.
If your story is currently untitled, please note *Untitled* and Author's name in the subject line.
Rough drafts can be sent in as the body of the text, or as an attachment. If it's sent as an attachment, please send it as a .doc, .rtf or .txt file.
Your rough draft does not need to be beta'd at this time. To qualify for this year's Art Claim*, your rough draft must be a minimum of 80% complete, and close enough to being finished that you are certain you will complete it on time. Once your story is claimed, you have an Artist counting on you to post your work. Dropping out after an artist has claimed your story may make you ineligible for future Art Claims.
*If you are ineligible for the Art Claim due to a FAQs violation, your rough draft is still due, but your summary will not be part of the Art Claim. (If you're not sure whether this applies to you, feel free to reach out to me.)
Please list your current information. This information may change prior to posting in October (such as your final WC, the title, etc.).
Your email is to include:
(This information must be in the body of your email)
- Your LJ or DW name
- Title (please use Untitled if you have not chosen a title at this time)

- Category (Gen, Het, Slash)

A summary to be posted for the Art Claim:
For Authors with more than one story:
Yes, you are allowed to submit multiple stories (You are allowed to submit ONE 5K-10K micro bang story per year, and up to THREE stories total) for the art claim provided they are at least 80% complete and will be completed and beta'd by the end of September. Each rough draft must be emailed in separately.
Missed Deadline?
What's late? I'd like to have all the summaries by 14 August, but as long as you get it in by sometime on 16 August, we can still add your story summary. Please remember that some Artists may be making their choices based on the summaries presented on 16 August and I usually post the summaries fairly early in the day.
What if you miss the Rough Draft deadline altogether?
Please reach out to me via email. Not PM - EMAIL.
Another question arose regarding those who are not participating in the art claim.
Yes, even if you are not participating in the Art Claim, your rough draft is still due. If you prefer to provide your own art, you can add a note to your email stating that you are opting out of the Art Claim and providing your own art. I will confirm back to you that I saw the note. If I do not confirm I saw your note, please let me know. If your summary appears on the Art Claim and is claimed, you will be expected to use the art created by the claiming artist.
If you have any additional questions, feel free to comment below, or send me an email.
