2024 NCIS Big Bang Match-ups

Many thanks to the Authors who submitted summaries and the Artists who claimed summaries for art!
DEADLINE:
Artists are expected to send the completed artwork to the Authors and Mod [at NCISchallenge (at) gmail (dot) com] no later than 30 September. That is the due date for both artwork and stories to be finished.
COMMINICATION:
ALL participants are expected to check in at some point between September 3-23 to avoid last-minute MIA issues. Without communication, your partner and mod have absolutely no clue what is going on with you.
-You only need to do one of these three options.
Comment on the availability post in mid-Sept (strongly suggested for authors)
Email your partner - Artists can send the finished artwork or should update the author at some point between Sept 3-23
Email the mod - send a short email to [NCISchallenge (at) gmail (dot) com] with an update
Please contact your partner ASAP. Authors should provide their Artist with a rough draft of their story. Artists should confirm they have received the story file. If you are unable to contact your partner for any reason, please let the mods know and we will try for you.
ALL PARTICIPANTS are expected to follow these minimum communication expectations going forward.
Minimum Communication Expectations:
1) After the claims - Within 1 week of the matchup post
-Introduction, discuss partner expectations, etc.
2) When you receive work from your partner - ASAP (rough draft, completed story, artwork draft, completed artwork)
-"Got it" or "Thanks for sending" are acceptable responses.
3) If your partner or mod emails you at any time, for any reason, you are expected to respond within 1 week.
-There is no excuse for not clicking 'reply' and typing in a few words within a reasonable timeframe. It only takes a few seconds.
*Communication is key!* It is always frustrating when someone drops off the face of the earth with no communication. This is the biggest complaint of the challenge. Please make sure your paired partner has a good way (or two) to reach you, and please be sure to respond to their communications within one week. If you expect to be unreachable for a few days, please let your partner know so they aren't left wondering why you aren't responding. There is no need to explain why you may be unreachable, but a simple "I may have limited access to email for a few days" would be helpful.
*Avoid misunderstandings!* To ensure emails are not lost to cyberspace, Artists should confirm back to the Author when they receive the story file, and that Authors confirm back to the Artists when they receive the art file. Just a simple "thanks for sending" or "got it" works fine.
*Tip* Authors, be sure to let your artist know what name you want on the artwork, especially if it is different than your journal name. Artists, if you're not sure, please ask.
Q: How much collaboration should there be between Author and Artist?
A: It is up to you. We ask that you be respectful of the other and respond to communications in a timely manner (within 1 week). One person does not need to approve the other’s work, but if you want to work together to bounce ideas around, that is perfectly fine. It is also acceptable to work alone. Do not pressure your partner to collaborate if they prefer not to.

Posting Schedule:
Watch for a post in early-mid September where you can let us know your availability. Please keep in mind that either partner, or the Author's beta, or a proxy can make the Master Post to the community. I plan to have the schedule posted mid-late September, with posting beginning in early October.

Please check the profile page and make sure you have Posting Access prior to your scheduled posting date. You will need to "join" the community, rather than just "watch". Once you have joined and are listed as a member of the community, I will be able to give you posting access for this challenge. Access is generally granted when the posting schedule is revealed in September.
