43. Kushiel's Chosen by Jacqueline Carey

This was the sequel to Kushiel's Dart, and I actually liked it better. For one, it was a little less graphic, which was not an entirely bad thing. But I liked seeing the main character develop and solve more subtle problems in this book than the last one. I brought it to the beach on Sunday, and it was perfect for that, and I'm sad it took me as long to finish as it did - I would have loved to spend a few more hours curled up with it earlier in the week. Looking forward to finishing the trilogy!

Next up: Almost done with A Trip to the Beach, then I start The Rosetti Letters, about a Venetian courtesan. Apparently there's a theme here.
