Today was the 1st day of conditioning. I feel like I'm about to die, and it hurts typing this. First Coach Palmer had everbody keep switchin stations on bench. I was partners with Ross. After he would do 20 reps of the bar, I would do 20 reps of the bar. After you finish you have to do jumping jacks until he blows the whistle. Well we did this over and over and over again. Probably like 500 reps later we finished. I was getting a workout spotting Ross. We also did some pushups and situps which we were so tired none of us could do. After that we went out on the track for speed training. We were already sore as crap. First we had to run a lap backwards. Do you know how hard that is? We were already tired and we had only ran about 1/4 of the way. Then we did this thing that when he blew the whistle we would sprint and when he blew it again we would sprint backwards. We did this until we did 2 laps around the track. Then we went to the football benches and we had to go up and down them for about 10 times. That was the easy part. Then we went to the practice football field and we did lots of sprints. I pulled a muscle in my leg and it hurt like crap. After a while we were finished, and I was about to die. We were laying on the cement while we were waiting to be picked up. That's how bad it was. Next we have to do it again on Mon. which really stinks.
