I actively hated my 9th grade PE teacher. Unless you had the flexibility of a gymnast (she was the cheer leading coach) or were talented in team sports (she coached the girls basketball team too....hey it was a great experiment in the early 1970's to put all 9th graders together in the same school. It was like putting all the lunatics in the same asylum) you got yelled out. Because I was tall, a bit heavy at the time and very, very klutzy with thick glasses. I tripped over my own feet just walking down the hall way.
Now, I have shakes if I can't get my exercise. Preferably it's walking out doors with my MP3 player on at not quite full blast. I would run but I have tiny, tiny feet and as a result ankles and knees that still have a tendency to buckle at the worst times. If I can't walk then I go to the local indoor pool and swim a few laps or at the very least I have a stationary bicycle. Heaven would be a treadmill but I don't have the space.
