I make so many enemies worldwide on the Mario Kart WFC. Oh man, I start shit with everyone. Although it seems hard to do without voice chat, its seriously not. For one or two races, I single out particular people, or various reasons, and for those races they may just think its a coincidence that I keep throwing red shells at them or bumping them ( Read more... )

i'm confused by your use of the word "basically", i guess. also, you said you've been transitioning for months. idk what you mean. you're either transitioning or you've cut off all relaxed hair...which would mean you're natural.

i've been transitioning for about a year. i'll be, what we call, a long-term transitioner. some people never transition...they just BC early, either shave their heads or waiting like a few months before cutting it...I don't want TWA though... sooo I'm looking to BC probably on my birthday in august. maybe even 2 years, idk. i'm not necessarily interested in keeping my length but I don't want super short hair either. I'm not into flat ironing so much. like i said, heat damage is scary to me.... and i may or may not but definitely not daily...maybe a few times a year for special events or whatever. plus i like my fabulous curls. and yes, the two textures are annoying. i'll start to slowly trim away my relaxed ends probably in the spring... or i'll keep being impatient and just BC. i neeed to.

what products do you like to use for deep conditioning or leave-ins? do you shampoo or only co-wash?

what I did was ...I went without a relaxer for months and the relaxer grew out. however there was still some relaxed parts (mainly the ends) so I trimmed them off. Its basically all natural now

I use aubrey organics conditioner and giovanni leave in. I always shampoo and deep condition. if I dont deep condition my hair gets dry as hell

yeah, i wasn't understanding you. haha, its like one or the other.

you only transitioned for like a few months? well, i guess if you're flat ironing it you wouldn't have to worry much about length. my goal is shoulder length like it is now BUT un-stretched and left curly. it's past should-length now stretched/flat ironed, but i have a while to go if i want it that way curly.

yeah some people bc and some slowly cut it off. idk what i'll do just yet. i'm impatient but i'd also like a dramatic change once i cut off the ends.

yeah everyone has to condition. not everyone shampoos though. AO and giovanni are tight.

why don't you leave it curly?

I started transitioning in january of 08 so its been almost a year.
It took a couple of months for it to get natural

it becomes unmanageable and hard to find a style.
but hair is doing a lot better without the relaxer. growing faster.

my skin has always been sensitive and I think relaxers can be rough on my scalp

hmm, i see...

some people don't like all of the maintenance that goes along with naturally curly hair. understandable. i freaking love it. but you should give it a try sometime. its probably pretty.

i always got freaking scabs on my scalp from relaxers. wtf... i'm not against them though. they're not for me and i highly doubt i'll ever get one again. some natural are super crazy. they're completely against them and talk down about girls who choose to relax. whatever. what about texturizing? some people will texture so that they can wear it curly but still manage their hair but also flat iron it easier. i'm just over chemical change.

yes! this is the major reason why I stopped and thought about giving it a break. I havent had my hair natural since like 11th grade in high school.

I would always get a scab after my hair was retouched.

Im not against relaxers either but...I dont think my scalp and hair can take it.

I hate when people with natural hair talk down on those with relaxers. Its like why the hell do they care so much. Some people like relaxers because its easier to manage and that is understandable.

I tried texturizing and honestly it made my hair shed even worse because of the two textures rubbing next to each other. My newgrowth gets kinky and ....then thats when my hair starts shedding

Im over chemicals right now . Not saying I wont ever get a relaxer again but I dont plan on it anytime soon. Im waiting to see how long my hair will get from now till the summer

you'll have to show me how to safely flat iron if i decide to. i don't trust myself with heat.

lol scabs. yeah fuck that.

the more expensive flat irons are less damaging-solia, fhi, sedu. their plates are really ceramic unlike the ones at sally beauty supply. however heat is heat and too much heat is bad. a little of it ..I think doesnt do that much harm if you only do it once during the week and just try to manage your hair wrapping it up at night

oils, grease and flat ironing can damage your hair. it basically fries it.

best is to use serum. then use natural oils after you flat iron your hair. but too much product will wear hair down

naturally curly. its no nc i just assumed you'd know... lo siento.
i also used to like black hair care forum but they have a lot of drama and its a turn-off.
i read posts on lhcf every now and then but i'm not concerned with hair growth as much as overall health and defining curls. my hair grows close to an inch a month without doing anything special... even when it was relaxed. but back then it was weak and it'd break and/or i would pull on it a lot anyway.

yeah, grease will never happen, lol. but direct heat without anything would be hell for me. i know some people that don't use anything though so... idk...i just know i need to coat it. serum and oils are good. i didn't know too much will weigh it down. thanks for the tip.

we'll have to go product shopping some time. haha
