Over Christmas vacation, I had the pleasure of discovering a fan project called "Crimson Echoes" (http://crimsonechoes.com/). They did the same a few years back with a project that recreated a limited number of scenes of Chrono Trigger in 3-D. The desire was to be more cinematic and such, and looked pretty cool. It wasn't a full remake at all. However, the Squenix lawyers came and stamped it out ( ... )

Thanks.. From what I heard, the Alpha is not terribly playable. Watching the playthrough on youtube served to quench my curiosity.

I don't really have my ear to the ground but....what else has square done that's so unfriendly? This is the first bad thing I've heard of.

Also: You can't make me play the crystal chronicles game down my throat. XIII is around the corner and I promise to fanboy up when it's released.
