So, yesterday, I went to a batting cage to get some much-needed batting practice in before my company softball season begins on Tuesday. I think I may have overdone it a bit. I bought 5 tokens. Each token allows you 20 pitches. So all together, I swung (hard) at 100 pitches in fairly rapid succession. Last night, my back was so tight and sore that I hardly slept at all.
In an attempt to lull myself to sleep, I put on my DVD of Wrestlemania IV (because, you know, it's the long and boring Wrestlemania). Although I didn't really make it to dreamland, I did come to a few conclusions:
- Gorilla Monsoon (RIP) had kind of an annoying voice
- Ed Leslie looked awkward and out-of-place even in his Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake gimmick. It's amazing that he ever got over at all.
- I miss wrestling managers. Jimmy Hart and Bobby Heenan were both hilarious in every match they were a part of.
- I like how they tried to get Matilda to "attack" Bobby Heenan (if by "attack" they meant for her to curiously sniff his genital area).
I would have much rather been asleep so that I had a snowball's chance in Hell of functioning today, but the trip down memory lane proved to be more enjoyable than I expected.
I need to find something more boring to watch during my bouts of insomnia. Any suggestions?
