The War is over, they say. Voldemort is gone, this time for good, they say. His Death Eating supporters have been routed, captured, many of them condemned; at least, those who weren’t already killed. Many refused to surrender, and hexed and cursed until their last breaths.
I can still see the great white burst of magic that ended the Final Battle. Voldemort’s scream as the light overtook him still echoes in my ears. He was gone when the light disappeared. His body is still unaccounted for.
It’s over, they say. It’s not over until I can spit on his corpse.
