Charlie Matheson Appreciation Week has officially started - well, in my time zone anyhow, although I am going to cheat and use the American's midnight to try and sneak my last fic in.
Charlie Matheson is a loyal sister, a conflicted daughter, a nascent bad-ass and really, really determined to kill everyone's favourite totalitarian dystopian dictator (if he is not yours, argue it next week!). She walked over 1000 miles to save her brother back and didn't fall into the Matheson dark side when he was killed - well not much, she's Juliet to Jason Neville's Romeo and the Patroclus to Miles' Achilles.
To kick off the discussion portion of the event here are some of my burning questions about Charlie:
1: 'Never let go of Danny's hand' - was Charlie more effectively Danny's mother than Rachel was? Considering they shared a room and Charlie once said she never spent more than 5 minutes away from her brother...
2: How does Charlie feel towards her mother? Glad she's alive, resentful Rachel tries to treat her like a child, mistrustful of the face she 'never knew her at all'.
3: Is there anything Miles could have done that Charlie couldn't forgive?
4: Does Charlie care about the US or turning the power? Or is it all about overthrowing Monroe?
5: Come on - I'm not doing all the work. What are your questions?
