We could of course change the comms name (I would pay for it, no probs) to get one over NBC. Just for that I'd vote for it. xD (OMG, five years old again...)
I know...I keep reading about how well NBC has been doing over the last two years...how many strides they've been making over the last two years. And so on...over the last two years. And I keep thinking. What else has been going on over the last two years? Oh, yeah! Revolution! I hope now that they kicked it to the curb, it starts sinking. I hate to wish ill will on a new show, but I hope the Mysteries of Laura bombs (though I doubt it will...it probably is better suited to be paired with SVU and Chicago PD. I just have a hard time picturing Debra Messing as a "brilliant" detective. Brilliant designer, sure. Brilliant detective, no.).
Nika showed it to me the other day and I hate to be that person, but if Wednesday at 8 was up by 47%, then the previous shows' ratings were reaaaaaaaaaally crap, because unfortunately Revolution had very bad ratings.
'Not stellar' is putting it mildly, some of the episodes were verging on CW levels ratings (and were resembling Thursday night's ratings, which are abysmal). Plus I think the other Wednesday shows on NBC were doing better, not by a huge margin, but by enough for Revolution to stick out. Yes, the ratings were up from previous years, so NBC could have either said 'well, the ratings suck, but they're not as bad as they used to be, so it's a win for us' or they could have been ambitious and decided to keep trying until they found a show that brought better ratings in the timeslot. It's a gamble, letting go of a low-rated sure thing and taking the chance that the next show won't do any better/do worse and we know what NBC decided.
"Live" ratings haven't been great, but Revolution has some of the best time shifting ratings improvements among shows. When you figure Live + 7D, ratings change significantly. For example, on April 2, Live + Same Day viewing, Revo got a 1.3 rating, but with +7D, it went up to a 2.1. When you figure Blacklist Live + Same Day viewing for that week was 2.8, that's nothing to sneeze at.
I know networks do look at those numbers, but at the end of the day, the demo for the live showing is what counts the most. Prety awesome rating jump from Revolution though, I didn't follow the Live+7, I wish they cared about it more.
Let your feelings have an emotional revolution.

It occurred to me recently that if someone did happen to ride in in the 11th hour and save Revolution...
This Comm is called Nbc_Revolution.
Our Tumblr tag is nbc-revolution.
I wouldn't change the Comm name, but would we move tags on Tumblr? Would we have to? UGH.
